#KingUnder60!

In all seriousness, this will be a joke race if it really happens. All the negative publicity against LePage is not helping him, either.

Considering this same poll only found Hillary up 3, I wouldn't be surprised if it's even more lopsided. I want this race to happen just because seeing LeP*** get thrashed would be awesome.

I have never understood King's appeal. The guy is terrible.

I don't either, but I'd excitedly vote for him over LePage.

What has he specifically done that you don't like?

I don't get why he's an Independent. He basically agrees with Democrats on just about every major issue.

He may agree with them, but it seems like his ambitions are more important than his ambitions - like he'd switch to the GOP if he thought it'd be better for his career

If that was the case he would have done so after the 2014 elections. He wouldn't have fit in the caucus, he's still clearly to the left of his Maine colleague, Susan Collins.

I would like to see a matchup between king, polquin, and a true left democrat like bellows which is a somewhat likely scenario in 2018

Yea, King is a useless senator. It's better to have a real democrat in that seat rather than this phony. That being said, I'll take him over LePage.

Doubt Democrats would nominate someone against King in 2018, he'll likely be cross-endorsed.

Depends on state rules, depending on the laws he might only be able to get cross endorsed if absolutely no one runs in the primary which is very unlikely (any no name can get on the ballot and get the nomination by default)

But regardless I don't see any reason why King can't just change his voter registration, it would give him a greater organizational advantage and he already votes with the democrats more than 90% of the time

What Heisenberg said, and I also think he's just an awful moderate hero. I'd prefer to have someone like Shenna Bellows in the Senate instead of him.

You hate someone who insists on being labeled an independent while voting for one party almost exclusively?  Oh, the irony.

Uh, I would have voted for Shenna Bellows in 2014. If the Republican candidate is terrible or the Democrats nominate 'the right candidate' for me, I would vote Democratic or Third Party. Also, I'm not a Senator, so it's really irrelevant.

Yeah, but the reason you hate her opponent is that you feel she's "not Republican enough" (a comical thing for you to think you can define ... as far as I'm concerned, Jeff Sessions isn't Republican enough for not voting with the vast majority of his party members for freer trade...), not because you might sometimes have a fondness for a Democrat...

Don't even dare compare a flawless FF like Collins to Angus King. Collins is a G-dsend. King is an attention-loving fool.
