The New York Yankees, winners of the AL East (103-59) wins the ALDS over the Minnesota Twins (87-76) in 3. The AL wildcard champion Boston Red Sox (95-67) wins the ALDS in 5 against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (97-65). The two teams go on to face off for the American League pennant for the first time since the 2004 ALCS classic. Who wins the ALCS?

Managers: Yankees (Joe Girardi)
Red Sox (Terry Francona)

More of a Cubs/Cardinals guy who's sick and tired of ESPN shoving that rivalry down my throat, so I don't care at all. Smiley

Red Sox.

Not because I particularly like the Sox, but because I always root against the Yankees.

In this scenario, I would have the Red Sox facing the Phillies in the World Series.

Dustin Pedroia would be the ALCS MVP. The Yankees would be in big trouble. The manager Joe Girardi, would have probably been fired by the Steinbrenners. Losing to the Red Sox again would be chaos in NY.
