The Boston Red Sox defeats the New York Yankees in 7 games in the AL Championship Series to win the American League pennant for the third time in five years. They go on to face off against the defending World Series champions Philadelphia Phillies, who beat the Cardinals in 6 games to repeat as NL champions. Who wins this battle?

Managers: Red Sox (Terry Francona)
Phillies (Charlie Manuel)

Sox in 6. I wish this would've been the series.

They would have clinched at Fenway. Parade on Friday, Nov. 6.

Jason Bay would be the World Series 2009 MVP after his home run against Cliff Lee in Game 3 of the 2009 WS in Philadelphia.
