     Lots of the Muslim religious leaders in the Middle East are terrible. As in, really terrible. This is important to keep in mind, though also not very newsworthy.

In defense of dead0man, neither Uganda nor the LRA kill as many people as Saudi Arabia does. And while they have equally toxic ideologies, Saudi Arabia has a lot more power, military, socially, and geopolitically than Uganda and the LRA have combined.

     Proportion is the key part here. While terrible Christians who kill in the name of God exist, they simply do not have the reach or the influence of terrible Muslims who kill in the name of God.

It's an ultra conservative sect of Sunni Islam which the Saudi government has been... encouraging the global development of.  When you look in most Islamic Terrorist organisations you'll find that they are Salafists (that's another word for the same thing) even though it's not particularly widespread among the wider Muslim Community.

It's a bug part of the reason why blaming all Muslims for terrorist attacks is silly; it'd be the equivalent of blaming all Christians (including Catholics, Protestant and Orthodox in that) for a run of terrorist attacks inspired by the fundamentalist movements that inspire people like the LRA.

     It is an important point that not all Muslims are terrorists or condone terrorism. Many don't. The tendency of American liberals to gloss over this with bizarre whataboutery complaining about Fundamentalist Christians does nothing to make this point, because their argumentation is so transparently poor.
