Haven't forum polls showed Hillary getting about twice as many forumite votes as Trump?  Is Trump even getting a majority of formumite votes from blue avatars, even if one includes the flood of Trumpster newbies?

I would hazard a guess in that the Clinton supporters (myself included) are older and have jobs to go to while the Trumpers are younger kids who have lots of free time with school.

But in all seriousness, maybe it has something to do with the low-quality spam posters that have gotten pretty active recently. It wouldn't be surprising if multiple regulars stopped reading threads there as much after they consistently get derailed and tarnished by users like LittleBigHerpes and Buffalo HPV.

Or this dirty election in general could finally be wearing some users thin. I'm certainly getting tired of it, with the added benefit of those 2 users^ above making it less enjoyable to read things in that subforum.

However if Clinton makes a comeback sometime soon or after the debates and any of these potential missing users come back, then we can chalk it up to a desire not to see constant Trump/Republican users gloating.

I think it's only natural to be more active when your candidate is doing well.  I know I looked at the 2016 board a lot less, mostly just for polls, when Trump was significantly behind in early/mid August.

But, this forum is still easily 85% Clinton/Johnson.
