So after reviewing our Constitution and talking to the Governor. It appears that opening the Assembly falls to me as longest serving member of the Assembly. I here by convene the Assembly session.
First item of business is to elect a Speaker. I as acting speaker will take nominations for the position and then we will hold a vote.
Members, do I here any nominations?

FE-1 Fremont Assembly Rules Act (1184AZ)
FE-5 Gender Neutral Bathrooms in Government Buildings Act (GAworth)

Carry over Legislation (Sponsor) and Status
FE-2 Fremont Taxation Act (GAworth) - Tabled
FE-3 Fremont Royalties Act (GAworth) - Passed but waiting Governor's Signature
FE-4 Fremont Minimum Wage Implementation Act (1184AZ)   - Amended, still being debated
FE-6 Amending the Fremont Assembly Rules Act (pikachu) - Passed but waiting Governor's Signature
FE-7 YIMBY Act (pikachu) - Being Debated

While the vote is going on, I encourage members to introduce any pieces of Legislation they would like to introduce.

Voting is closed for Speaker. GAworth has been elected Speaker on a 2-0-1 Vote. The chamber will now move onto legislative business.
Please note that FE-4 (Fremont Minimum Wage Implementation Act) and FE-7 (YIMBY Act) are currently on the floor for debate. We will also be considering another bill as well. Please members, introduce other pieces of legislation.

We also need to work on a redraft of the constitution.

I feel for everyone sake we need to do one big amendment to the entire Constitution. Section by Section may become cumbersome. What I was thinking is having all of us look at the Constitution and come up with recommendations. I don't want to steer the entire conversation.

Here are some thoughts:
Having a Lt. Governor (I am in favor, but I am just one person)
Having a fixed size Legislature (I feel having a sliding scale based on activity is not the way the Legislature should be configured)
Uniform phrasing (Fremont v. Western Region, etc.)

Per our Constitution, FE-3 and FE-6 are made law despite the Governor not signing the legislation.

I just wanted to post here, that Wolfentoad and Wulfric have been appointed to serve in the Legislative Assembly of Fremont. That means that Rpryor03 will act as temporary Speaker per seniority until a Speaker is elected.

Not sure how I feel about the flag, seal, or anthem. I am fine with pretty much everything else.

If I'm allowed to do this:

Nominations for Speaker are now in order for 48 hours.
Since no one has seniority, I don't see why not.

I hate to step in, but the nominations period has closed. An election of a Speaker should take place.
