Yet another reason not to vote for him.

“I frankly hold Dick Cheney in really high regard in his role as vice president and as an American,” Pence said on ABC’s “This Week.”

Like Cheney, Pence would have more sense than the President. That's not saying much, but fortunately the Trump/Pence ticket will not have the opportunity to destroy our country like Bush/Cheney did.

I think a former Vice President endorsing the candidate from the other party would be pretty big news. Tongue

LOL. If elected, The Donald won't allow you that. Mike, you're standing behind him and only look while he signs papers. That's all.

And up until now, Pence was my pick for the campaign's bright spot.  That he still is goes to show what kind of campaign this is.

At one level, I agree with the statement.  Cheney, however, personifies the military-industrial complex infesting high office.

Pence is actually a bad pick for Trump. He's too controversal, Indiana is in the GOP pack and he doesn't bring in these voters Trump needs. The evangelicals will vote for him nevertheless.

I disagree here.  While I initially saw it as you laid it out, Pence may be the ONLY guy who could be a bona fide movement conservative and effectively and harmoniously run with Trump.

Pence is also a guy for whom Trump actually grants a degree of respect to that's a politician.  If it's Pence's personal qualities that have compelled that, it says something about Pence.

I still wish he hadn't said this about Cheney, who's a first class scumbag.

You may not agree with Cheney's approach to everything, but he was a great Vice President.

He had the gravitas to do the job, as well as be President if that would have become necessary.

If there was any (real) justice in America, Cheney/Bush would be in prison for War crimes.
