If a padded room counts as a safe space, then yes. I can comprehend how people could be tricked into supporting Trump if they never are confronted with the truth about him. I can comprehend Republicans reluctantly supporting him once he won the nomination. I can certainly understand how racists, xenophobes, and other unsavory types would willingly support one of their own. But our Trump supporters claim not to be part of any of those three possibilities. That seems to leave insanity as the only remaining option.
