He'll say that he will vote for Johnson. In reality he's voting for Clinton.

What passes through Dubya's mind has long been a mystery to me. Quite possible he may not even vote.

Probably Clinton, the main reasons being:

1. Trump bullied his brother and shamed their family.
2. The Clintons and Bushes respect each other despite their differences.
3. Like many Americans, he is worried about Trump's effect on American democracy.

Good on him.

He's gonna say he's voting for someone who thinks the Iraq War was a terrible mistake and probably has the opposite view on just about every other contentious foreign policy issue? I don't think so.

Who cares?  He should be rotting in jail for war crimes.  Put him with the white collar criminals so that he can share a cell with Trump.

Exactly. Trump is pretty much the antithesis of "compassionate conservatism"

He's an insider.

She's an insider.

He'll vote for Clinton while declining to endorse.

But he and Jeb! are OK with George P. Bush being all in for Trump in Texas.  That's how P will keep the insider thing going for the Bush Family.

Her primaries voters will very happy.

It's the one that will help her the most.

Only George W. Bush's detailed endorsement has the hope of putting to rest the "Death By A Thousand Cuts" Clinton is suffering over the e-mail scandal.

This is a silly Atlas meme.  Unlike his father, W is very committed to conservative values on social issues, and will not vote for Hillary.  Obviously, he has nothing in common with Johnson.  He will vote for someone like McMullin if he is on the ballot in Texas; otherwise, he will not vote or reluctantly go for Trump without publicly saying so.

W is very committed to conservative values on social issues

You must have missed the obvious and repeated indications that all of that was just pandering to his dimwit evangelical base.

They riled you all up into voting in 2004 over fear that gay people would begin to openly show their affection.  Then they packed the court with reactionaries whose main agenda was to strike down campaign finance regulations and the Voting Rights Act.  Oppressing the gays, not so much.

Because the ideological and intellectual rigor of the Supreme Court is important to someone who tried to appoint Harriet Miers?
