Seemed like a decent place. First LePage (twice!) and now giving Trump an EV.

I'll believe it when I see it.

An Obama/Obama/Trump state is the definition of where I would want to live. Sadly, it won't be one.

Yes, because of LePage and Angus King. Both are massive HPs, but Maine is still a solid FF state.

I don't really get the Angus King hate or people who hate him on equivalent with legitimate terrible person Paul LePage, but that's just me.

For the record, I think Maine's 2nd will go to Clinton by as much or slightly less than it has before. I don't think it will go for Trump.

LePage is a well-documented nutcase. King's thirst for attention, on the other hand, is not as visible.

We'll see if Trump actually does well there. If Maine does swing heavily toward him, I'll definitely no longer see it as an FF state, though it's already sad that they elected LeP*** twice. Maybe they have a fetish for assholes without a single redeeming quality...

I still have respect for Alaska, home of Sarah Palin, and they're probably voting for Trump.

Alaska is still my absolute favorite state, regardless of Palin. I judge states mostly by weather/nature/environment/cityscapes, with politics playing a very small part, so Maine is still fantastic. For the record:

Great Smoky Mountains National Park. North Carolina would be green too, but the mountains are outweighed by all the tobacco farms.

But if it does go to Trump, it will have transformed from a gorgeous, naturally beautiful paradise full of White rural liberals to a rural wasteland full of hick trash in just four years in the minds of Atlas!!

I meant for president, so just Maine and Vermont.  You could probably add Kansas too, although Landon lost there when he ran for president.

No, Mainers are awesome.  Judging a state based on its elections is silly.  Most people don't even vote.

Atlas is the only place you could imply there's something inherently wrong with all White people (besides White liberals, of course, who talk about themselves eerily like the planters did in the South) and not be called out for being a racist because of some book some nerd on here read about institutional racism.
