I will not be watching it:

1) Debates stress me out
2) I have to be up at like 5am to catch a flight.

I'm not watching any post-debate commentary.

I have a meeting at the exact time of the debate, so I won't be watching it on a TV network. I'll probably catch it on YouTube the next day.

CNN. You can't beat their live focus group polling. Hopefully my lab gets out early so I can watch the whole thing, but I'll catch the 2nd half regardless.

CNN is my go-to channel for political events, plus it's the only cable news channel I get.

I think I'll be going to a debate watching party, so I'll just watch it on whatever channel they decide to.

I would usually watch it on any of the three cable channels (CNN, FOX News or MSNBC) but in this case it has to be CNN. The other two would be way too partisan in post-debate commentary.

PS - CNN should be thanking Atlas, after seeing these results.

Tough call.  The new season of Supergirl doesn't begin till October 10.  Still, the CW is airing last season's episodes, in order, every Monday at 9pm.  If it happens to be a re-run that I've seen before and though uninteresting, then I'll watch the debate.  If it's an interesting one, then I'll try to watch both, which of course is silly.  Multi-tasking is a myth.  Study after study has shown conclusively that doing two things at once means not doing anything constructive.  Still, we try.  I'll probably use the PREV button to stalk both the Trump/Clinton debate and the Supergirl rerun.

Voted CNN.  why not?

Meh, I typically surf between CNN and MSNBC on election night and I'm pretty good at not getting completely hooked on one or the other.

Any local HD channel that I can get over-the-air. But I'll more than likely be watching CNN online

I'm pretty good at not getting completely hooked on one or the other.

my point exactly.  You're better off either helping your child with his homework or posting here or watching Sling Blade.  Try to do all three and you don't really do any of it very well.  Same goes for texting and driving, but the consequences can be much worse in that situation.

Unless you're Donald Trump, of course.  He could stand in the middle of fifth avenue and multitask and would not lose any voters.

Here's a transcript of a recent public radio interview on the topic.
If you're interested, you can find many recent peer-reviewed studies on the topic.

Yeah, I don't watch the debates. I know the candidates as much as I need to and the only thing that will matter will be the post-debate media spin. That is the thing I'll be watching very closely through various online sources.

Going to try and take an actual honest view of the debate. Turn it on once it starts and then turn it off once it ends and make my own judgements before i watch CNN or MSNBC who will spin it for Clinton and Fox News who will spin it for Trump. Both will spin before and after the debate.

Not sure yet. Either MSNBC or CNN (Clinton News Network Wink ). Depends on whether my wife and I will watch at home or join few friends. Likely the latter.

They very much did not spin it for Obama in 2012 after the first debate. He got hammered by them.
