I found that for a show wanting to be realistic, it was very unrealistic. Arguably the biggest or most consequential attack in American history and the Secret Service goes "eh, lets go to the White House. It's probably not a target despite us knowing nothing." Plus, the designated survivor can literally see the Capitol burning.

No opinion. Its not at a time its convenient for me to watch and I have no DVR, and no interest in getting one.  Maybe I'll stream it in a few years.

I missed a lot of the pilot because of crappy weather, but what I saw of it was very underwhelming compared to the trailer.  It was just okay.  I'll watch another episode or two before making a final judgment.

I thought the pilot was good, but I like politics and Keifer Sutherland angrily yelling at people so I may be biased.

I don't think it struck the right tone for me. Despite being made in an era of increasingly cinematographic television, it seemed to play it safe; and therefore never really managed to pick up on the actual terror and horror of what would happen after suck an attack. Like, one of the stand-out throwaway-lines for me was from a news anchor saying the stock phrase "the worst attack since 9/11". Which is obviously wrong, because the symbolic value (if not the direct casualties) of losing the nation's Capitol along with the President, the Cabinet, the vast bulk of Congress, the Supreme Court and the Joint Staffs of the military to some completely unknown actor would vastly overshadow 9/11 in America's psyche.

This was a very obviously terrible plot from the commercials, but I left my ABC stream on anyway for the second episode, and the characters are even worse than the plot. Unsurprising - most political dramas should never have been made to begin with, but this was exceptionally disappointing television. Surprised to see this above water on this site.

David Palmer while a democrat acted like a Bush Republican. First he basically allowed torture,  and then attacked a chinese embassy.
