Just feel like making a thread about cars. What car do you drive, want, hate to see?

I currently drive an 87 Supra Turbo, manual of course. I'm thinking of going for an American Muscle Car next, possibly a Pontiac LeMans with the 400 cube motor. My dream car is most certainly a Porsche 912(yes 912, not 911.)

I'm driving nothing at the moment. But last week, I was driving a '91 Toyota Previa (Automatic thank goodness). Sadly, that got hit in the most vulnerable spot in a collision last week. I'm hoping to get something soon, but I have to wait and see how bad the costs will be regarding repairs for the other party.

Back in Virginia, I was driving an '02 Hyundai Elantra, Stick Shift.

The dream car would be a Tesla.

You must tie your minions to the roof or toss them in the trunk.  No back seat in those bad boyz that I ever saw.

I want one of the following; '67 Impala, any Mustang in existence, a Challenger, or almost any car from the 50s/60s.

In the Challenger? Those things have fairly large back seats for a coupe, and will easily take a few kids.

I wanted one the last time I bought a car. but they cost too much relative to the tax savings to justify it. I like roomy hatchbacks though, so I bought a Toyota Matrix instead.

Sadly, too many, and not of the ones I want lol. Plan is to sell the truck and Lexus in a year, and get either a new 300, or a 5 series.

I drive a 2011 red Hyundai Elantra. It's not my dream car, but it's done well for 85,000 miles in just over 5 years. But on my next car, I'm probably going to buy GM.

not a fan of stopping heh? Smiley  (Mustangs are notorious for sh**tty brakes, getting better the last few generations and all old cars have sh**t brakes)

Me, I like cars so I drive a NA Miata (97).  I like stopping and turning and such, but I'm not a trained racecar driver, so I enjoy cars with pretty low limits....keeps me from killing myself you see.  The engine is just a typical econocar engine, turned sideways to power the proper wheels.  Doesn't weigh anything and is generally tiny, so it's good on gas and is easy to drive in the city.  It doesn't make much power so you have to shift a lot, but this is a good thing because shifting is so much fun.  I've already decided what my next car is, another NA Miata and that I'm just driving the parts car for it until I get it.

Not my actual cars, but as close as possible, including colors and wheel styles:

2004 BMW 325xi with 80k miles

1992 Volvo 240 with unknown miles (odometer stopped working a decade+ ago)

2002 Ford Explorer with 170k miles a duct taped passenger window (gift from a friend; I use it to haul construction materials)

As for my least favorites

American Company (Ford, Chrysler, but especially GM) cars offend me when it comes to quality.

Volkswagen cars [sans the Ancient Beetles] offend me when it comes all the cheapo things they do production wise, whilst also be absurdly expensive to fix [also, it was a Volks that wrecked my ride...RIP Previa...RIP]

And Beamer Drivers offend me when it comes to general Nixony

2011 Mitsubishi Colt. I am pleased with it though I'd like a BMW 535; but too expensive at the time.

Except for Chrysler, this isn't as true as it use to be.  Fords are actually comparable to the Japanese and GM has come a long way.  For the most part, you can't buy a bad car in 2016.  You can buy an ugly car, a boring car, one not as good as other current models, but it probably won't suck like cars did just a few decades ago.

I 100% agree with you about VWs though, expensive to repair, but everything feels cheap.  I had a 2000 Golf that I bought new, I traded it in a few years later because I had a feeling it was going to start costing me a butt ton to maintain.

but not all Bimmer drivers are c**nts...just most of them Smiley
