The problem is finding someone to challenge Hillary- I mean I remember the left talking about challenging Obama in '12
Obama had a few advantages over Hillary. He was younger, and also the first African American President, so Democrats who might've run against John Kerry were wary about what challenging him would do to their reputation. He was also the most liberal President in generations, clearly to the left of Carter and Clinton, to say nothing of Reagan and the Bushes, whereas Hillary is going to be compared to Obama.
I could certainly see some of Sanders' 2016 backers running against Hillary in 2020. Tulsi Gabbard might be a nightmare. She's younger and cooler, but also removes the advantages Hillary has of being the first woman President.
