This is what is so frustrating about Trump. He will just lie to people's faces, on a debate, in interviews, where ever, no matter how much proof exists that shows he is lying. There can be videos disproving whatever he is saying and he won't back down unless maybe you showed the video right there on the spot. There is no way to have an honest debate with him unless they fact-check with proof, on the spot.

He is so shameless.

Incorrect headline. He tricked the Republican voters by proving he was stronger than Jeb Bush. This was known at the time the statement was made, but it was the attitude that mattered not the action.

Um, what? He clearly wasn't able to get what he wanted... unless you want to say he committed perjury.

So either he's a criminal or he's a liar (and both)? I thought we already had proof of him being a lying criminal, it's not like we need more.

Yes, he clearly didn't get what he wanted. But in the eyes of the public, that's not what happened, which is just as good. He won without winning Smiley

There is nothing wrong with lying. I'm sick of the outrage on here over lying.

lying is ok
cheating is ok
not donating to charity is ok
taking credit for others' generosity is ok
not paying business associates is ok
But using a private server is NOT ok
Running a charitable foundation is NOT ok if you actually do good work and accept donations from all over the world.

makes sense

Why do people make that mistake? The words are neither visually nor audibly that close to each other.

"Might have" -> "might've" -> "might of"

"Would have" -> "would've" -> "would of"

etc.

This is just another reason, along with his Trump organization having ties all around the world that would make his Presidency totally complicated and conflicted, to keep the guy out of the office of President.

He comes with so much baggage that he makes Hillary look angelic by comparison.

It's beyond my ability to comprehend why some people "hate" Hillary and would rather see Trump in office, when he is a totally polarizing, divisive, politically ignorant, lying, cheating, con-man buffoon.

Trump was correct when he said that he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and it wouldn't lose his supporters.  They're blindly loyal.  I saw an interview after Trump admitted Obama was born in the US.  The interviewer asked a woman at a Trump rally if she believed Obama was born in the US, and the response was no.  Then the reporter told her that Trump had said that day that Obama was born in the US.  The woman's response was "Trump said that?  Then I believe it.  Whatever Trump says is true." [emphasis mine]

This is a personality cult.  It reminds me uncomfortably much of the Moonies.

Man, I'd hate to be the seventh-grader challenged with the task of diagramming that "sentence."

Yes, Donald Trump is a liar and a crook.  Moreover, in the first question of the first Republican debate 13 months ago, Donald Trump wouldn't even promise to support the eventual GOP nominee.  Yet, the Republicans nominated him, and nearly as many likely voters plan to vote for him as for his opponent.  The good news is that a president gets to pardon people for offenses against the United States ("except in cases of impeachment".)  As far as I know, a president could even pardon himself.  Maybe that's why he's running for president, after all.  Slick.

Because they are hateful, oppressive, ignorant, delusional, stupid liars themselves, and hope to lord it over others when their cult leader comes to power.
