Yes (not a hack)

The media has been way too kind to Donald Trump, and I can't see how anyone can deny that.

They've legitimized his brand of narcissistic insanity.

They're not supposed to be bias.  If you watch MSNBC and count the number of negative things said about Trump compared to Clinton you'll find they've been unfair to him.

They're not supposed to be bias.  If you watch MSNBC and count the number of negative things said about Trump compared to Clinton you'll find they've been unfair to him.
They are supposed to report as many negatives as exist. Not their fault if Trump happens to have more.

That's a matter of opinion.  Most voters think both candidates are bad people, but Trump wins on honesty.

What does honesty have to do with it? If Trump does negative things, then the media should report negatively on him. Same with Clinton. What should the media have reported on that they didn't?

That's a little out of touch with the average voter.  I'm wondering if Trump does things that aren't being reported, how do you know about them?

It's not that they've been "kind" to him, it's that they've given him wall-to-wall coverage, which has helped him enormously.

This is probably true.  A certain amount of garnering the wall-to-wall coverage does, however, stem from Trump's superior media skills.

I'm not saying there's anything of that sort. You seem to think that Trump's greater amount of negative coverage in unfair; I'm asking you what they should be reporting on (that they aren't already; I'm not asking whether the emails should come up for the 5,000,000th time) to remedy this.

It's not that they've been to kind, it's that they're mean in the wrong ways.  They pick on his stupid gaffes, giving the impression that he is what he says he is modulo some stupid statements, when actually he's not at all -- his policies are ludicrous, his background and persona are littered with fabrications, contradictions and lies, and he's committed numerous crimes and done terrible things.  I want to see Trump covered as "utterly amoral and corrupt egomaniac with idiotic policies who lies compulsively", not "the orange-haired goofball who wants to build the wall and says dumb things sometimes."

He makes for good ratings so they were nice to him but now that he's the nominee he's getting the same treatment we always get.  88% of the press voted for Clinton in a 3 way race in 1992 and 92% for Kerry.  That should take care of any stories or examples of bias.

The media has been way too focused on Trumps name-calling and not at all focused on fact-checking him or doing critical interviews with him on actual policy.

Way to forgetful and forgiving. If I were a host I would be reminding people every night about all of the awful things he has done.

The man is literally a racist.

The man makes fun of people with special needs.

He has twice called for the assassination of his political rival.

Yes, the media has been too kind; these are things that would otherwise be covered nightly on the news.  That they are not is only evidence to that fact.

Yes, only CNN has any guts to call him out. And they lost me as a viewer for it. MSNBC FTW

Yes, if you count Fox “News” as media. However, pointing out his countless lies has nothing to do with being kind or not kind. It is the obligation of the media to do so.

No, just go to CNN, PoliticusUSA, HuffingtonPost, Washington Post, LA Times, or MSNBC to get your fill of the next Trump hit piece.
