What do you mean by win, is the question.

Trump will win, because we have an idiotic country.

Can we have an inclusive poll? By that I mean support for third party candidates for weirdos like me?

Win on substance, or be declared the winner by the media? Those are two very different questions.

Trump seems to have incredibly high expectations, so even a mediocre performance by Clinton will be considered a win. Wink

The fact is very few people care about substance, only emotion. Hillary will certainly "win" but it won't be perceived as such by the masses.

Part of winning is also winning the twitter wars during and after the debate.  I will be a day or two before we know who "won"

Define "win" (as others have said). Also, needs a "neither" option, which would be my pick.

Clinton will win on substance (duh). I think Trump will win, however, on the more important style - he will have better 10 second clips that get played on the news and facebook.

A win would be indicated by a big change in the polls. Otherwise, nobody really wins.

trump.

At best, he wins by media biases while Clinton hammers him on substance (like Gore vs Bush)

At worst, Clinton attempts a few zingers and ends up messing everything up.

http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/297341-trumps-new-debate-challenge-silence

Since Trump feeds off the energy of his audience, and since he will have only a silenced audience at the debate, how well will he do? That's the question. Hillary's already been through this and she knows what it's like and what to expect.

I suspect a lot of wind will be taken out of Trump's sails at this shindig and he'll TANK against a professional political debater.

I'm surprised that the expectations for Clinton are as low as they are, but I still think the best she could do is a draw, mainly because I expect some Al Gore level sighing. Trump, on the other hand, will probably get a pass if he can form coherent sentences on stage, and he'll get a major win if he proves even the barest bit more substance than he's already given thus far (for example, expanding on how he is going to do better on women's health or a more detailed presentation of his plan to rebuild America's infrastructure).

You just explained why the likelihood of a Clinton win is low and you're surprised at this point?

Kinda hypocritical considering, you guys bash trump for being "Racist" but then turn around and say that Trump Supporters are sub-human.

Clinton, not because Trump will go off on her, but because Trump will tone it down big time and stick to policy.  Clinton will catch him in a bunch of errors on policy details while she explains her plans effectively.

I'm much more worried about the town hall debate for Clinton.  She could end up sounding very elitist when answering a question from a working class voter.

This.

Who will win on policy, ability to govern and preparedness of the candidate - Hillary Clinton (by a Mile)

Who will "win" with a soundbite, gesture or making the opponent seem weak - both Trump and Clinton have an equal chance to do that.

The overall perception of "who won" will greatly depend whether you are looking at this election as a choice of a chief executive for the US or a reality TV show winner!
