The union that represents state troopers backed Gregg over Holcomb. It's the first time a Democrat has ever received this endorsement.

It's going to be amazing to see Indiana be governed by someone who actually cares about the state rather than the assistant of a man who was more interested in promoting his partisan, anti-education agenda than actually accomplishing anything. Go Gregg!

I never understood why some people thought that Pence dropping out to run for VP killed Gregg's chances. Holcomb started this race behind, thanks to entering in July, and while he may yet catch up, it's really starting to look like Gregg might pull this off.

I never understood why some people thought that Pence dropping out to run for VP killed Gregg's chances.

The line was basically "Gregg can't run as the Anti-Pence candidate anymore, and while Holcomb isn't perfect, he doesn't have the same baggage Pence did."

Well this is bizarre and terrible. Cops in Indiana are very conservative.

People forget what a big advantage incumbency is in gubernatorial elections, as usual. Same reason I'm sadly not quite as convinced that Cooper will win in NC as everyone else is.

Anyway, I like Gregg and I hope he wins.
