If I could drink...I'd probably get drunk and hope Trump does something stupid...otherwise God help us all.
Rip free trade and more open borders if Trump wins

Don't tempt me...

The networks should cut by half their pre-debate coverage.... They're repeating themselves over, and over, and over... God!

Rules for watching the debate:

1) Drink.
2) Drink a lot.
3) Every time someone says "email" take one shot. (Cool drinking game, right?)
4) If Trump calls Clinton "Crooked Hillary" take shots until you forget that he's up in Ohio.
5) If Clinton wins, drink champagne.
6) If Trump wins, drink. And don't stop for four years.
7) Why is the drinking age higher than the voting age?

Are you trying to give people alcohol poisoning?

It would be more enjoyable than watching the debate.

I can't argue with that. To me, the worst part will be the media spin and public reception afterwards, where so long as Trump doesn't fling feces or pull out his dick he'll be declared the winner. And if Clinton even mispronounces one word it'll be replayed for days on end as everyone declares it the final nail in her campaign's coffin.

I heard a pundit on CNN again say that Clinton is the most qualified candidate in our lifetime. This line always frustrates me. Hillary is clearly very qualified, but GHW Bush served during the pundit's lifetime. You might say HRC and GHWB are equivalent, but I don't see how one makes the case that she's clearly more qualified than Bush 41: congress, ambassador to the UN, envoy to China (before diplomatic ties), head of the CIA, and VP for 8 years.

September 26, 1960

56 years from the infamous Kennedy-Nixon debate, and the eternal argument between radio-listeners and television-watchers over who won... and it is the first debate between the first female nominee of a major party, and the first nominee of a major party since the 1930's to have zero government experience.

I don't think it's really possible to quantify which one is more qualified; it's not like there's an entrance exam for the Presidency (maybe there should be!)  It would be more realistic to say that they were both highly qualified, and no other recent candidate is/was at the same level.

That's a fair point. Perhaps the reason why is that people have seen her serving the public for 25+ years, while not many people paid attention to GHWB before he was VP. He certainly deserves to be considered at least as qualified as Hillary.

That's exactly my point. But I hear too many pundits say that HRC is exclusively in that class. That class clearly has a second member.

If we were playing football I'd defer, but Hillary has to set the tone tonight with a strong offense! Let's go!!!

Rutgers University should host a 2020 presidential debates. Hofstra has had it's time.

Trump will be declared the winner because that is the storyline the media needs. They will declare Trump the winner of this debate, Hillary the winner of the next debate and whoever is behind at the time of the third debate is the person they will declare the winner of that one.

It's all about ratings.

^ The only reason Hofstra is hosting again is that Wright State University, the original host, stepped down due to various concerns about the cost of the debate. Hofstra was the "first backup". Belmont University in Tennessee is the "second backup"
