Dominos half bacon half pepperoni. and cinnastix

Good taste.

I'm really wondering what the optics of tonight will be like. I am not trying to be sexist, but appearance and clothing choice has proven, of course, to matter in presidential debate. I really don't care what Hillary wears, but I thought Hillary wearing that very ugly greenish-yellow color in Milwaukee came across terribly on tv, and if she were to, for example, wear that again, it would just lead to a visceral reaction similar to people seeing Nixon sweating.

But also, how close will they be? What will the height difference look like? Where will they be looking compared to the moderator and the camera? I notice that trump always seems to be looking below the camera at a debate and Hillary looks slightly off to the side.

A request from the mod team: As today is the big day of the debate and also as there are lots of new polls out, can we keep the new thread creation within the 2016 board to things that have new content/discussion and not flood the page with duplicative and/or low-effort threads please.

Leak: Question 1 is:
"Secretary Clinton, you recently were diagnosed with pneumonia and has to take a week off the trail after collapsing during a ceremony.  This came after repeated assertions from you and your staff that you were in perfect health.  Can the American people rely on you to tell the truth about something as critical as your health?"

I'm not sure how she answers it.

Very easy.

"Everybody can fall sick on occasion. I am no superhuman and no different from anybody else in thsi respect. It was an infection in my office that I caught. It is done and over with. I am generally in perfect health: that statement was true when it was made and is true today."

This question has probably been asked in mock debates. Relax.

Sure, just like the death penalty question for Dukakis was probably asked in some way,...didn't stop the moderator from asking it in the most hackish way possible. Also didn't stop Dukakis from completely bungling the answer.

Count on something like that happening, and count on Hillary to bungle it too.

What if she responded with something like this:

"With all the conspiracies being pushed about me being terminal or something of the like, I thought I could power through this mild case of pneumonia and continue campaigning. With the intensity of this race, I tried to do what many Americans often do themselves, and that is to continue working even when feeling sick, but I now realize that I should have been open about what was going on, and I apologize for that. I promise to be more open about my health with the people going forward."

Although I didn't phrase that in the best way either, seeing as it is off the top of my head, but how about that general idea?

It's just that I often think if she was more candid with us, that things would be better for her. I know for sure if she said something like I wrote above, I would immediately have a better opinion of her.

The score was 42-7 at halftime. Now Hillary only leads 49-42 with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Team Hillary has the ball 1st and 10 at their own 20 yard line, and this is their chance to put together a final drive to put the game out of reach.

I'm going to make an early dinner this evening. I'm planning some boneless pork chops, sauteed with onions and fresh sage in a beer-based sauce. After dinner I'll chill a while and probably open a bottle of wine for the debate.

Rules for watching the debate:

1) Drink.
2) Drink a lot.
3) Every time someone says "email" take one shot. (Cool drinking game, right?)
4) If Trump calls Clinton "Crooked Hillary" take shots until you forget that he's up in Ohio.
5) If Clinton wins, drink champagne.
6) If Trump wins, drink. And don't stop for four years.
7) Why is the drinking age higher than the voting age?

I thought she said it was not contagious.

Isn't it sad that we already know Fox News and CNN will declare Trump the winner no matter what barring something crazy?

I believe she said the doctor told her she was not contagious at the time she went to the memorial.  Pneumonia (depending on the variety) can be contagious at some times, not contagious at others.  (Been there myself; it's not fun.)

I can't argue with that. To me, the worst part will be the media spin and public reception afterwards, where so long as Trump doesn't fling feces or pull out his dick he'll be declared the winner. And if Clinton even mispronounces one word it'll be replayed for days on end as everyone declares it the final nail in her campaign's coffin.
