While I truly respect Spiral and his past contributions to this game as Southern Governor, he has been entirely inactive in his post as SOIA since being confirmed in mid July. Atlasia desperately needs active individuals not only in the legislative branch of government but the executive branch of  government.

I echo the words of 1184AZ. As a former Deputy of the Interior Department I know that it can be slow at times but we need to send out the strong message that if you hold public office you should well be in public.

With no debate in over 24 hours I motion for a final vote on this bill.

I agree we should hold people accountable for not being active, but I'm not sure what this will accomplish with only a few weeks left in the term.  If the President wanted to, he could nominate another SoIA.

I think this is more about sending a message - i.e. you can't do nothing for three months and hang onto your post. If I had run the State Department this way, I would deserve to be run out of town on a rail, no matter how late in the year it was.

(Also, I would note that cabinet officers do not automatically vacate their posts with the start of a new administration, so the impending presidential election doesn't effect the length of Spiral's term.)

I don't think it sends a great message to be impeaching people left and right, however justified it might be.  I feel like in this case, since it's an executive position, the President could replace him if he was unhappy with his performance.  Has anyone actually reached out to Spiral to talk about how he could be more involved with his position?  We definitely have an activity problem, but the answer isn't always to punish everyone and go looking for new, interested people that might or might not exist.  SoIA is kind of a weird position and with a few exceptions, it seems to be inactive a lot.
