Trump personally worked the spin room for a long time, not really a sign of confidence.

Trump did what he had to do, but I want to see him go for the knockout in the final debate. Vegas would be the perfect venue.
Therein lies the problem with Trump. Everything is a reality show for this moron. Thanks GOP. You're giving the election to the second coming of Nixon because you nominated the Ooompa Loompa town drunk!

Trump probably wants Don King to introduce him like it's a boxing match at Caesar's Palace or something.

Clinton eviscerated him. He started out okay, and looked decently presidential, but she baited him time and time again, and he never directly answered the questions he was given. Some of his interruptions were just incredibly dumb, like when he implied that not paying income tax was "smart", and some of his responses, like when he tried to argue that he was against the Iraq War, just got worse and worse. Hillary could've gone on the attack a bit more, but she clearly wanted to sit back at times and give Trump rope to hang himself with.

If Republicans are saying it was a tie afterwards, you know who won.

She destroyed him. She will win Wyoming and West Virginia now.

No.
But maybe "she will win" Florida, Ohio, North Carolina and Nevada "now."

My conclusion from this debate is that trump has ensured that he has a low ceiling and a high floor. Clinton should grow by a few points as more defect from the third party candidates and she gains the majority of undecideds. I'd say Trump's floor is 45% and ceiling is 47% (barring something huge), the third parties should win a combined 3-5%, and that means Clinton (again, barring something huge) should win between 50-52%.

I hate focus groups.  I'm just waiting on a poll (which will obviously be off since it's a flash poll such and such, but still).

Remember when Trump lost every primary debate (hell even I was on that train), and then it didn't hurt him at all?

She should have pounced on that "your president" comment.

And he did. There are weeks worth of new attack ads just from this debate.

Debates won't change much, but GOP electorate is far different then GE electorate.

Yes, I see that now. I identify with Nixon, but he was awful as president! Down with Hillary!

I'm not entirely sure that it didn't hurt him, in fact it seemed to constantly at least stall his momentum. He did best when he said no more debates.

Also these debates are obviously on a much bigger stage with a different electorate.

Clinton obviously "won" on performance (though Trump started out well), this won't have a huge overall effect. I'm more interested in the polls in the coming days then all these random ones popping up tonight.

Clinton ran away with it. One moment that stood out for me was when Trump defended his supposed housing discrimination by bringing up his Palm Beach properties, which were the first in the area to not discriminate (I know this because of a Seriously? thread). But Trump didn't mention that they were the first, so he just talked about how amazing it is that his housing in Palm Beach didn't discriminate.

Trump just dropped the ball so many times in this debate.

The debates were supposed to be Clinton's shining moment when she proved that she was the only candidate who was presidential. Instead, the debate was a wash - both played to their bases and didn't really explain how they would bring Americans together. Because of that (similar to how Trump won primary debates by "not losing"), I would say Trump won.

So you think she's crooked (which she is), but admire someone who ran the government like his own private police force?
