Gender breakdown is amazing - Clinton only wins men by 5%, but wins women by a whopping 46%.

Fox News is working the angle that Trump was not in support of the Iraq War.

That's about all they got.

Just counter-spinning I suppose, McClatchy notes that Johnson may be seen as the winner given how many people were annoyed by both candidates after the debate.

I mean, focus groups are useless, but the quotes from these people make me think they're more useless than I had previously imagined.

Trump lunacy:

Trump on stage in front of a small crowd in Florida touting fake polls

Hillary failed her bar exam and is a creation of the MSM

Trump saying his crowd is 12,000 when his crowd is actually around 2K

^^ I just thought it was funny that he thinks Trump won.  Liberals are such whiners, don't even know when they won.

Here's Judge Nap with some no-nonsense reaming of Donald's approach:

I basically agree with you. Politics is a blood-sport, it means fighting and scrapping and getting ugly. So many of my fellow progressives are so quick to retreat and claim defeat and victimhood long before cause permits.

Clinton won, easily. Trump made a fool of himself in from of 85-90 million people. What the impacts are? We don't know.

Just because I don't support extremist candidates and skew left doesn't make me a liberal, FYI.

It's obvious that both campaigns think Clinton won the debate, so that ought to make it clear who won. Not that some people won't continue to be cloudy.

another focus group of undecided OH voters...about half thought Clinton won, none thought Trump did, but none were able to make up their minds yet.

Morning Consult's post-debate poll asked who won the debate.

Here's what the 72% of their sample who watched the debate said:

Clinton - 49%
Trump - 26%
Unsure - 26%

One difference between liberals and (at least some) conservatives. Liberals flat out admit it when they lose. I didn't see anybody claim that Obama beat Romney in the first debate in 2012. I didn't see anyone claiming that it was somehow rigged for Romney either.

And let's be real here. Clinton won much bigger against Trump than Romney won against Obama. The only reason one might not think so is because how incredible low the bar was set for Trump.

The guy on the (conservative) Weekly Standard podcast thought that the beatdown of Trump was the biggest beatdown in presidential debate history and looking at it objectively - without the low expectations for Trump clouding perception - I think he was spot on.

I think Trump had the worst general election presidential debate performance in history, but Clinton is unfortunately not charismatic enough for the debates to be the knockout blow, unless Trump has a total meltdown at the town hall or something.
