After this first Presidential debate between Clinton and Trump, I can safely say that I, a Sanders voter, went from an unenthusiastic Clinton supporter to an enthusiastic Clinton supporter. I am now happy to cast my vote for her as she has shown mastery of the subject matter, demonstrated her professional demeanour and exceptionally calm temperament, and did not simply cling to talking points or lower herself to hurling insults. Despite my disagreements with her on a few significant policy issues, I firmly believe there was no better option for President this year than Secretary Clinton.

So, what about you? Were you a rather reluctant Clinton supporter who has now become enthusiastic about voting for our first female President? Are you a Trump supporter who's convinced he had a great performance and can't wait to vote for him? Did you support neither, but have now come to support one of them? Please discuss.

Well all of that can also be applied to various dictators. Surely the best reason to vote for her is that she is not Trump, not that she can memorize a few cheap lines in a chilled manner.

As for insults, there's nothing wrong with them...as long as they are witty (see Churchill, Paul Keating etc). Trump's are not.

Not any more enthusiastic, but still just as enthusiastic a Clinton supporter. Her debate performance is an example of exactly why I've enthusiastically supported her since the primaries were over.

After Gary Johnson fell apart, I was just going to hold my nose and vote Trump (doesn't matter in my home state anyway) but after last night I'm honestly not sure I can do it.

What was it in particular about his debate performance that made you seriously doubt casting your vote for him? Could he realistically do anything different in future debates to persuade you to vote for him? I'm honestly curious about this.

Trump supporter, but slightly less enthusiastic.  I'm still pretty excited for the election, but there were a couple points where he reminded me why I so strongly opposed him in the primary.  There's no better option, though, so I'm voting for him!  I'll probably be back to where I was after I see Pence debate next week.

And, a soundbite of Clinton just came through the TV, so I'm back!

My enthusiasm increased. I was pretty stoked that she went up there and did her thing. Obviously it just re-enforced the way I already felt about the race. But I was happy to see her stand toe-to-toe with Trump and hold her own.

I am begrudgingly endorsing Trump...I have the same enthusiasm as before, which is zero.

I support Clinton as much as I did before, but I'm more optimistic about her chances now.
