^Governor's Mansion

{Waves to PBrunsel (who's holding the camera) and DanielX (who's holding the microphone)} I'm about to fly to New Mexico on my Personal Governor's jet so that early tomorrow, I can take part in the New Mexico ceremony.  I'm also going to teach kids to be responsible with alcohol by being the designated driver for all of those using the 'necessities.'  Well, see you on the 2nd!

In the mean time, I'll be taking Donkey Force Two (as opposed to Air Force One) to Montana Smiley

The State of New Mexico is now in the Pacific Region.
The State of Montana is now in the Midwest Region.

The Midwest still has a massive 10 citizens.

Well, WMS can now celebrate.

This is a Fox news alert:

The Governor has just landed in New Mexico.

I’m not sure exactly when I’m supposed to hand this over to Immy:

So just take it when you’re ready, Lt. Governor {holds out flag of New Mexico.}

HURRAY! Kiki

As the long-term resident here in sunny New Mexico, let me express my profound joy and satisfaction at, long last, bringing freedom to New Mexico! As the issue which got me involved in Atlasian politics in the first place - sparking the upset write-in campaign which got me to the Senate - it is good to see a final resolution to this. Smiley

But I have no malice toward the noble residents of the Midwest Region - I merely believed that the Pacific was a better choice for New Mexico. Cheesy

So I heartily welcome CheeseWhiz and Immy to New Mexico for the weekend-long celebrations culminating in a massive fireworks display* on July 4!

I would like to take this moment to express appreciation to all those who supported New Mexico in this endeavour. I'm sure I'll miss some people, but, thanks to:

Governors CheeseWhiz and Wildcard, and Lt. Governors Immy and ILikeVerin, for their willingness to compromise on this issue.

True Democrat, for being willing to move out of Montana to enable the trade.

Injustice Ernest, for being the one who got the initial campaign rolling.

Senator Sam Spade, for carrying my bill in the Senate and backing its passage.

All the Senators, past and present, who backed that bill.

Peter Bell for helping with the legalese of the bill.

Lewis Trondheim for his support when he was Lt. Governor, and for moving here...at least, I think that's what he's doing. Smiley

And thanks to anybody else who supported this who I forgot to mention. Wink

Now let's get drunk and shoot off stuff. Kiki

Thank you residents of New Mexico (WMS) and welcome to the glorious region of the Pacific!  Your years in tyranny are over!  Just kidding.  Anyway, welcome again!

Now let's get this party started!

Senator Sam Spade, for carrying my bill in the Senate and backing its passage.

You're welcome, former Senator.

I would also like to announce (in my position as Union Party Chairman), that True Democrat has now been appointed Union Party Regional Representative for the Midwest, as long as he chooses to stay in Montana.  Wink

Thanks for the welcome! Instead of being the southernmost part of the Midwest, we're now the easternmost part of the Pacific! Cheesy

The tequila is ready. Wink
