Didn't he openly say at the debate that some European companies had offered to do business with him in Cuba and that he refused, even though he'd have had no other option considering it'd have been blatantly illegal? The mere fact he gave it consideration means he was considering breaking the law.

"Deplorables" seems to be too kind a word to describe all those who intend to vote for this scumbag.

Marco Rubio is reportedly "deeply concerned" about these revelations. Coincidentally, Florida changed to light blue on 538's map last night.

Very courageous of DJT to have disobeyed the unjust embargo against the Cuban people.

Law and order candidate breaking the law for profits? I didn't realize there was an exemption for laws we personally find unjust.

I thought Republicans were supposed to be all about law and order, constitution this and that, etc etc.

The Constitution is a historical paper. Its contents are meaningless and have been for a number of years thankfully.

Very sad that over 40% of the country wants to elect a known traitor to the White House. Not very patriotic.

When America is on the wrong side of history, it takes a traitor to rectify the situation. There is nothing more patriotic than breaking an unjust law.

Marco Rubio is reportedly "deeply concerned" about these revelations.

!!! Smiley Plz unendorse! Thanks!

Thanks for Florida, by the way.

Trump is the most incompentent candidate in over a century. Always thought that Dubya remains unmatched, but he's peanuts compared to this con man.

Agree.
Remember, the Florida race is very very close right now.
If it continues to be too-close-to-call through election day, even just some "persuasion" to switch some "Republican Cuban voters (the older ones)" to vote for Hillary could be enough.
Let's not forget that in the 2000 election, only 537 votes made the difference in Florida and the Presidency.

Clinton campaign needs to run away with this and make some great FL ads.  Getting Florida out of reach for Donald would guarantee her victory in a tied election.

Yep.
But she must also hold Pennsylvania (which is looking good so far).

Dude... it's been a busy day. Train crash, Machado, Polls... it's hard to rise above that. It'll show up in FL ads... believe me!

This is the leading article on El Nuevo Herald right now.

http://www.elnuevoherald.com/noticias/mundo/america-latina/cuba-es/article104953106.html

(the headline says: "Cuban-American congressmen ask Trump for explanations on the supposed embargo violations").

That is the one place where the traction matters.

Red avatar hack here. I don't really care about him breaking the embargo, but if this hurts him in Florida, I'll be happy.

I'm still a bit skeptical if this will really make a difference in Florida.

We do have some evidence that Cuban-Americans in Florida have been shifting towards Obama in significant numbers, but how many Cuban-Americans are likely to swing on this issue alone?

Unless Florida goes down to a 50k vote lead for either candidate will this really matter?

Asking some of our Floridians, particularly with knowledge and experience of South Florida politics to weigh in on their opinions....

The point isn't that he broke the embargo per se, which I think most of us will agree was a terrible policy and its removal is a shining accomplishment of the Obama administration.  The problem is that Donald Trump continues to refuse to play by the same rules as everyone else.  A lot of people wanted to do business in Cuba but didn't out of respect for the law.  For someone who threatens to round up and deport millions of people over petty semantics, you'd expect a little bit of consistency.  But, the only consistent thing about Donald Trump is that he will make money no matter which laws get broken or who gets hurt.

Whether he's stiffing contractors or stealing from employees, Donald Trump never makes money honestly.

Trump slammed Obama for getting rid of the embargo. That's why this rampant hypocrisy should not be tolerated.

Yep, Trump prefers that markets are closed so that only wealthy lawbreakers like him have access.  What a selfish prick!
