Question is, when they had a Clinton lead of 7 was their polling flawed then, or did they magically decide to make it flawed in the last two days to show Trump leading again?  Or is it just that Clinton's true lead was maybe 10 points or so a few days ago, and now back to the mid single digits now.

Whatever it was, clearly America has had it with all this horrible character assassination of Donald Trump.  Big media is just grasping at straws, digging up whatever they can find to try and stop America from being great again.  Sad!

Rasmussen is trash--C+ rating on fivethirtyeight and their final poll in 2012 was Romney +1. All they are is fodder for the Tic Tac spokesman's Twitter account. One day after calling the polls crooked he's tweeting about being up two points in this one to generate enthusiasm with his supporters, and they eat it up. That makes it all the more sweeter when their false sense of optimism dissipates on Election Night.

Maybe this is just the men-only poll.  #RepealThe19th

Crap like this gives me heartburn, it really does.  I know it's totally irrational, but I need some better national polls from elsewhere to make me feel better about life.

I've been trying to assure my Trump supporting friends, now the a Clinton Presidency is pretty much a certainty, that everything will be ok.  That this is much better for America.  Headlines from the entire right-wing echo chamber that "Trump takes the lead!!" are not helping.

One thing you can do: block your Trump supporting friends.

There are plenty of other national polls (from better pollsters) that should make you feel better. Smiley

As for the echo chamber, if this poll and the LA Times tracker didn't exist, they'd just focus on the online polls on Drudge, Brietbart, etc.  You can't penetrate the echo chamber.  I've got a Trump-supporting friend and colleague (a wonderful guy in most other respects) who looks only at those sites for his news.  Occasionally he feels daring enough to venture to Fox News, but considers it too liberal and biased against Trump.  I've tried to get him to at least look at some other sites, but for him they're all part of the media conspiracy.

Wow, even Scotty (yes, I know he's not there anymore) can't show a Trump lead anymore!

How did Rasmussen end up on election eve in 2012, and also 2014 with Senate races?

They had Romney +1 in 2012 and were terrible in 2014, but so was everyone else.

2012 was a steady stream of 'BUT RASMUSSEN SAYS' and 'BUT GALLUP SAYS' from the Dick Morris's and poll truther's out there. Gallup was such an embarrassment in 2012, that they stopped doing electoral horse race polling. Scotty was fired, but Rasmussen is still complete sh**t.

Nate Silver was the star of 2012, but Rasmussen was the star of 2008.  They called the race the closest, and even called the iffiest Obama states, particularly NC.

I have a tough time believing Trump's ahead at this point, but I doubt Clinton's ahead as much as some thing.  I remember in 1996 how everyone was predicting a double-digit Clinton win.  It was a disappointment that Bill only won with 49% of the vote when polling showed a bigger lead over and over again.

They were only Romney +1 because Rasmussen is a notorious herder.
