I saw this poll on Buzzfeed today and it generated quite a debate in the office - curious to hear what y'all think.

Personally, I ended up selecting fried chicken, but that was with the understand that traditional wings are still acceptable. However, if I had to give up wings, I'd probably switch to a burger, just because I can't imagine myself without the other three.

Yes, I know that I have an unhealthy obsession with food that will catch up with me once my metabolism slows down. But in the meantime...vote!

I could live without either of them. In fact, I'd probably survive without ANY of them, as long as you leave me quesadillas. Cheesy

Of the four though, definitely tacos. Don't care much for them.

If I had to pick one, probably fried chicken, though I do enjoy it. Definitely couldn't do without pizza, though.

voted tacos. second choice would be fried chicken. the problem with fried chicken is that it's usually coated with flour and egg, instead of the better way (with corn starch and buttermilk).

Tacos, I had "breakfast tacos" in Texas recently. They tasted, as all too much American food does, of absolutely nothing.

Pizza, no question. Though it's the one I eat the most, if I had regular access to the others I'd much prefer them

Fried chicken. Love it with chips and a big lemonade.

I'm EXTREMELY picky about fried chicken. I rarely eat it at all.

It seems to me that it wouldn't be hard to give up any of these as served at a fast food restaurant. So, I looked at this as what I would part with from local restaurants.

I live in a town with great Mexican restaurants, so I know what a good Mexican taco (meat, onions, cilantro) is like, and I'm not giving that up if there are other choices to eliminate.

I also have one of the best pizza places in Chicagoland nearby. Good pizza is worth keeping on the menu.

When I travel a burger and fries at a local eatery is usually a dependable meal and can serve as a bit of comfort food going back to my childhood.

Really good fried chicken is a rarity for me. There don't seem to be many places where I encounter it. I like my chicken less heavily breaded in any case. So that's the one I'll let go.

Pizza. It's good for one slice, but after that it just takes like an ocean of tomato sauce to me. I still don't understand how fried chicken is number one.

It's a bunch of dumb grease and bread after a few bites, even with the best "rubs" and sauces in the world, and chicken is inherently a bland meat.

The other options have much more complexity and variation, thus giving more mileage.

Also the best "Luther" is miles ahead of the best rub.

The real question is, why are Tacos in 2nd?

Probably tacos, since I prefer quesadillas to them anyway.

Presumably you say that because you've never had real pizza.

correct. it boggles me why so many establishments choose to use white meat for fried chicken. that is the 2nd largest problem (behind the flour and egg thing)

Fried Chicken. I would just eat chicken cooked otherwise. Easiest on list to replace.

Great point - I usually prefer getting dark meat instead of white. While white can be good at some places, it is often too dry.

Does "burger and fries" mean that I'm giving up both burgers and fries, or just the combination of them?

Anyway, probably fried chicken.
