Most election night victory speeches are gracious.  "My opponent put up a good fight, we had a spirited discussion about the future of this country and I learned a lot from our many debates.  He is a good man, a family man, and a patriotic American who truly wants to do what he believes is right for this country, and though our race for the presidency has ended I have faith that he will continue to accomplish great things in public life."  Things like that.

Will Hillary say anything like this about Trump?  I can't envision it.

Yeah, she probably will, even though he doesn't deserve it. Or she'll at least say something nice about the Republicans if nothing else.

No.

She'll say something like "And I want to say to all those Americans who didn't vote for me, or didn't vote, I will be your President too and hope to gain your confidence."

MAYBE a light-hearted "And I want to thank my opponent for one of the most interesting elections of my lifetime, and helping people get engaged."

I imagine she'll at least be polite.

I'd say something along these lines:

To those Americans whose votes I have not earned, I want you to know that I have not been elected the President of 48% of 57% of America. I've been elected the President of the United States of America and I will work for your betterment as President just as hard as for those who did vote for me.

I think that she will find some compliment for him... he dresses well... has a beautiful family...

It won't matter much. As the networks call Virginia, Ohio, or Florida around 9PM eastern time he is going to say things like "I'm going to do really well on the West Coast"... ha! ha!

I see nothing gracious about Donald Trump.

I wish she would give an Amash-like speech where she just trashes him, but I know she's better than that.

I hope not. I think Blue3 is right about how she will handle it. I just hope we get to find out!

I wouldn't.
She should just ignore saying anything "trump" in her entire victory speech.

Hopefully not. Trump's campaign did nothing but damage to the entire political process.

Why would she? He has zero redeeming qualities.

Because she has some class and has (generally) treated Trump and the GOP with far more grace and respect than we deserve.
