How do evangelicals justify voting for Trump?

He has clearly hardly ever read the Bible or attended church.
On his 3rd wife, committed adultery, appeared in porn videos.
Flips back and forth on abortion, even in this election.
He says he's ok with gay marriage.
He calls himself "greedy" and acts like it's a good thing.
Says he has never had to ask God for forgiveness.
Does not love his or our neighbors.
etc.

The Supreme Court, quite understandably they don't want it filled with more leftists like Kagan and  Sotomayor.

Just kind of pathetic (and exposing of their cultural intolerance) that they warmed up to Trump easier than they did to Romney.

He's a white nationalist, and that's all they want out of their presidential candidates.

WaPo article suggests that Pence is helping Trump in this regard: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/theres-a-reason-many-antiabortion-leaders-support-trump-his-running-mate/2016/10/01/f6e4d5f8-8673-11e6-ac72-a29979381495_story.html

These same evangelicals in the not-so-distant past had no problem voting for people who lynched blacks and Jews, so let's say they are not exactly paragons of moral authority.

They've already proven their attachment to dogma. What makes it a stretch to keep dogmatically supporting the Republican?

Really? Perhaps you can give an example of a political candidate who lynched blacks and Jews in the not-so-distant past who these evangelicals might have voted for? Or did you, in your eagerness to virtue signal, just make that up?

As a group, they are casually moral/ethical when it suits them. It's how they justify massive homes, megachurches and multiple divorces.

He's not hillary and the supreme court, although I wonder how the Trump porn stuff is going to affect that extremely strong support among evangelicals.

Does anyone really believe that the average voter even thinks about the Supreme Court? I hardly think so.

I have been wondering about how the religious types justify a Trump vote, and I am still wondering about it. It boggles my mind really, that anyone at all -- in their right mind -- can vote for the guy, especially the religious types.

I think the religious right does. They are far more politically aware then the average every day voter is.

Everyone be cautious of this trump-supporting parrot from the UK.
He keeps posting in threads demanding for "examples," so as to derail the true subject matter of the thread.

They are well aware that Trump only worships TRUMP, and nothing else. As long as he hates n*****'s and brown people, they are more than happy to back the less religious of the two candidates.

OSAS Philosophy - i.e. power of forgiveness. I've heard a lot about how the fact that the Muslim ban, etc. has become more nuanced in recent months means that he is learning from his mistakes and changing as a person. That being said, I still know plenty of #NEVERTRUMPERS, including three people who might vote for McMullin.

And they honestly believe he gives a damn about their morality or social beliefs enough to nominate super conservative justices? lol

I'm demanding examples here because I know there are none. Its a rhetorical question. I asked it to make the point that the claim that

is totally fictional and baseless. Since the topic of the thread is the voting behavior of evangelicals that's not an off topic point to make.
