I listed the planets most of us are familiar with in the Star Wars universe. If you were going to live on one, which would it be? For myself, I voted for Coruscant. I love even the concept of a planet being an entire city. I'd love to live on a planet like Coruscant.

Based on the way people vote here, I somewhat expect that Hoth is going to win this poll.

I think we're only doing canon planets.

Naboo for me. Lake Country looked gourgeous, if you have credits to afford it.

Alderaan would be possible if I didn't know it's fate.

3/4 of this list I'd like to live on; I could visit the other ones for a day or two.

One of the other moons of Endor other than the Forest Moon of Endor.

This.

That's why I loved Trantor in Asimov's Foundation universe.

I think we're only doing canon planets.

Naboo for me. Lake Country looked gourgeous, if you have credits to afford it.

Alderaan would be possible if I didn't know it's fate.

I tried to stick to planets/moons from the movies that we've seen and are familiar with (even then, being pretty expansive). I know I didn't include a lot from The Clone Wars TV series, but I think I was pretty generous with the options as I was. As for a planet like Alderaan, for the sake of the poll, let's say it wasn't destroyed (or you lived a full life in a prior time period).

One of the other moons of Endor other than the Forest Moon of Endor.

Honestly, I always thought Endor was the name of the moon, as if you were to say "the French capital of Paris", as in forest is some sort of adjective. It does appear that I am wrong, however. As a very serious Star Wars, I'm rather embarrassed. Well, in any event, I think my intent was clear.

Despite being central to the friggin prequel trilogy... Coruscant.  I'm a city boy.

I don't share your dislike of the prequels, but I do share your love of the city. A planet like Coruscant would be a dream come true for someone like me. Don't get me wrong, I like other places too, but this is where you'd actually want to reside, not vacation or holiday.

I should note that my joke about Hoth had to do with this forum's strange love of cold weather. I'm quite happy to see Coruscant winning this poll, although we do generally like urban far more than rural. A planet of 1 trillion sentient beings (not to mention fast anti-grav transport). I really love the city.

This.

That's why I loved Trantor in Asimov's Foundation universe.

I looked that up. That was the apparent inspiration for Coruscant.

Your intent was clear and your mistake is quite common.

Yeah. The Naboo plotlines sucked but the planet itself was beautiful.

Didn't know that one. Asimov is always a good inspiration.
