Is this a reboot of the 1915 film? That movie was very racist, and was considered one of the first blockbuster movies. If it is a reboot, I'm curious whose idea it was, and I'm curious as to how many changes they made.

No.  I've become a pathetic movie watcher.  I pretty much only get excited to watch horror movies around Halloween with my friend group, movies I think are going to be absolutely hilarious (shlt like Neigbors doesn't cut it) and high budget, somewhat existential sci-fi (think Inception, Interstellar in the last several years) ... Sucks.  Excited to see that new one about the linguist who's hired to communicate with visiting aliens, I believe Amy Adams is in it (PLUS).

Yeah that linguist movie looks great! Same director as Sicario and Prisoners, too, and I'd watch anything by that man
