I remember once a girl at a church group said that finding links to these on the internet when she was pretty young is what caused her to abandon Catholicism, since they scared the sh!t out of her. (She later joined a fairly conservative evangelical church as an adult, and obviously left it later and became a progressive hipster Christian.)
