Look at the demographics of Republicans most likely to be loyal Trump supporters even after all this.  Look at the demographics of Republicans who aren't as wild about him.  I'll take my chances the latter win out in the long run RE: the soul of the GOP.

Trump's a last stand for a group who will continue to have less influence each cycle, and he failed miserably.

you are right, RINO tom.

this movement is losing on a global level but in other countries it has still enough power to win through desperation.

in the US it could be too late.

in 2008 john mccain defended obama from the charge of being a muslim arab extremist...and calling him a decent family man.

in 2016 a man tells pence, if hillary wins he will join the revolution....

and pence countered with the clear and sharp answer: "don't say that".

Reminds me of the Templars vs Assassins in the Assassin's Creed universe.  Globalism vs individualism....and Trump is the Templar plant.

That'd be UVA specifically.

Trump Declares, Basically, the Start of the #NeverRyan Movement
http://ace.mu.nu/archives/366273.php

Vote for Ryan's Democratic opponent, whoever that is. Boot him out of Congress, and badly damage any hopes he has to be president anytime soon.

Ace of Spades hopes it to be the case; it doesn't mean this is an actual thing.

Sounds like Dr. Ben is thinking of switching to the Establishment:

"CARSON is very uneasy about Trump's attacks on Ryan"

"“Dr. Carson has been unwavering in his support but the last 24 hours have made that support very difficult to maintain.” -Armstrong Williams"

Trump lament on missing Republican supporters: ‘Why aren't they on the shows?'
http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/trump-missing-republican-supporters-shows-229623

“Sometimes it’s harder to beat our own party than it is to beat the person on the other side,” he said.

He also maintained that House Speaker Paul Ryan should focus on the budget, not criticizing his party’s nominee, and mocked him for losing in 2012 alongside then-GOP nominee Mitt Romney.
Donald Trump is pictured.

“This guy lost four years ago,” he said, “in like a landslide.”

Trump is going all out on Paul Ryan. He has to pull his endorsement, right? This is unreal...

This is ridiculous and does nothing for Trump. It may energize his base but how would it attract the middle ground voters who are most crucial

I'm shocked Reince isn't apoplectic again, Trump saying he wouldn't endorse Ryan a few months ago almost sent him over the edge and now Donald is unloading on him.

If he doesn't, he'll show himself as truly weak and without spine. Trump's supporters already hate him, so he ought to at least show himself to be principled.

Agreed.  He's already lost the Trump supporters; if he pulls his endorsement he may at least gain a few votes.

I imagine that, soon, Trump will explicitly instruct his supporters to withhold their votes for Republicans who pulled their endorsement for him.  It's going to get really ugly.

Au contraire. Sniffy T. Pussygrabber is LOVING this. Because NOW he has his post-election narrative: "Paul Ryan and the Establishment GOP stabbed me in the back. We could have won, but they stabbed us in the back! Now give me your money, you stupid suckers." (The last part won't be said in public and it won't matter if it leaks on tape.)

And you have to admit, it's much better than: "I'm such a stupid bigot that Hillary cleaned my clock so hard even you idiots won't believe she cheated."
