Seriously watching many Democrats here freak out is funny.  Yeah, Hillary is not the unanimous winner of the debate, calm down!  She's still going to win.  Stop jumping down peoples throats for giving their opinions.

I would say most swing voters were gone for Trump after his awful opening.

Trump slightly (with expectation weighted)

Hillary was better on points and knowing the answers to questions. She was the more civil and mature one.

Trump was rude and interrupting as usual and doesn't know anything in terms of policies. But he went more on attack tonight and produced more audience reactions.

We aren't, just mystified at how people think that was winning on Trumps part.

Trump did not win.

At best, it was a very slight Clinton win. Maybe a tie.

There is so much crap out of this that Clinton can use against Trump.

I voted "Tie."
I cant say that Clinton won it (though I want to).
trump did get in some punches, and I wish that Hillary would punch back.
She was tougher in the first debate.
But trump did not win either. The first couple questions only reminded people what kind of disgusting slug he is with his "grab your pussy" debacle.
trump also did not answer people's questions very well, and he did not concentrate on looking at the person asking the question, where Hillary did. This shows how Donald lacks the ability to connect to normal Americans.

Trump won big league and pulled a 1980. This is exactly what I was hoping for so i'm glad. I felt bad for Hillary though. I was stunned when Trump actually was talking policy.
Again you really think unhinged is winning?  I don't get republicans.

Really it's all about the general public's reaction. If Trump had groped Hillary during the debate and his support went up then he'd be the 'winner' of the debate.

I'm honestly wondering if a lot of people turned off the TV at that moment.

Exactly what I feared would happen is what is happening. Let's hope she can turn it around before it's too late. But I don't think Trump is winning any voters right now. We'll see.

Trump certainly did better than the first debate, and Clinton missed many opportunities to bury Trump. Yeah, I know "they go low, we go high," but that doesn't mean she can ignore it. She should really have pinned Trump down on calling her the devil and stuff like that. Yet Trump still wasn't stellar and did start off awful, while Clinton did better on points. Anyway, I'll reserve judgement on who won until we get some polls.

trump was not talking policy, trump repeated, inconsistently without much reasoning of his own or explaining for people new to the topic, old-school republican talking points.

helping him with solid conservatives.....irritating casual voters and those not convinced.

This. The general public is going to say Trump "won" this one. It doesn't matter that he was completely factually wrong, if the general public thinks he won, he won.

Of course, Clinton is still going to win the election. So... yeah.

Another Hillary Clinton win!

Donald Trump gave some very bad answers, particularly in relation to his sexual assaults.  Coupled with demonstrating a poor grasp of policy and a penchant for violating international law, his attempts at going 'nuclear' were desperate.  Has there ever been someone so bad at pandering?

Hillary held to her obvious game plan of standing back and giving Donald enough rope to hang himself after this latest scandal , but it appears she may've overdone it in the last 2/3 of the debate. Perhaps she should have baited him more like the first debate.

Trump didn't seem very knowledgeable on most questions.  Almost everything he said was just diarrhea of the mouth.  He evaded questions.  He attacked the moderators.

I think it's a tie. Trump had about half the performance that he needed. He also made a number of idiots balls (he doesn't pay taxes, he doesn't talk to Pence or know what he's saying). His threat to prosecute Clinton if he wins was idiotic.

Clinton had the chance to put a stake in Trump, cut off his head, and stuff his mouth with garlic. Instead she played defense much of the night. She didn't make any big mistakes, and mostly stuck with her pledge to keep above Trump.

I agree with this summary and voted tie.  Strategically, though, that's a loss for Trump because he's behind and time is running out.

Yeah, I agree and should have been clearer.

Tactical tie, which is a strategic loss for Trump. He needed a real win here, and Clinton didn't give him one.

I 100% agree with this

Clinton scored a solid, safe win.

Though not spectacular like the first debate, she parried all attacks made by Trump without suffering any damage, while at the same time keeping all of the force of attacks made against Trump by either herself or the media, in recent weeks.

No kidding.

Trump looked mean and angry throughout the debate. He came off bad.

That just means passionate and outraged against the elites these days.
