It's also not helpful that he stated Hillary has hate in her heart, that she is the devil and that she should be ashamed of herself. The optics of him standing and her sitting and him telling her that she is a "disgrace" was awful.
He pulled off what Lazio did in 2000.  A big blowhard who seemed to violate her personal space.

I remember reading about how many men saw that moment as a great one for Lazio when it initially happened.

I was watching it on CBS, and at one moment halfway through, Donald Trump moved his hand between Hillary and the camera (on her side of the split screen). He was also creepily looking over her shoulder at other times. Not good!

Women and minorities are going to save this country.

Or throw us into another war with Russia, eh, whatever.

58% of the people polled stated that they supported Clinton before the debate.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/09/politics/clinton-wins-debate-but-trump-exceeds-expectations/index.html?sr=twCNN101016clinton-wins-debate-but-trump-exceeds-expectations0353AMStoryLink&linkId=29741868

So basically, it looks like a wash or close to it.

well remember - debate watchers do not equal all voters. I think it is far more likely that Clinton voters are watching these debates than Trump voters.

I suspect more polls will show a Clinton win, but by a narrower margin.

Shouldn't debate watchers tend to skew older and whiter (i.e. more Republican?)

Are rock ribbed GOPers (perhaps Cruz supporters) not tuning in or something?

Women and minorities are going to save this country.

The 15th and 19th Amendments are even more important now than when they were originally passed.

I don't believed they even 'fact checked' these, they probably just said everything trump said was true and everything Clinton said was false, regardless of the actual truth.

LOL at CNN:

*plays clip of Trump's "apology"*
Jake Tapper: That doesn't satisfy you does it, Gloria?
Gloria Borger: No, he bragged about sexually assaulting women and --
Corey Lewandowski: Who cares?
Borger: I care!
Lewandowski: But... muh emails... that's what people care about.

Sadly, he's probably right to some extent.

The fact that more Democrats are watching the debate to begin with and are willing to answer their phones indicates that enthusiasm is much better on our side and falling through the floor on theirs

But I thought nobody liked Hillary and nobody was excited and there was no enthusiasm and not a single millennial would vote for her!11!!!

Also note: The results Sunday also track closely with watchers' pre-debate preference. Fifty-eight percent of debate watchers said they were supporting Clinton before the debate.

I don't see this moving the needle too much one way or the other.

I wonder how much of that 58% is just the debate audience being inherently more Democratic, and how much was due to the pussygate surge. CNN hasn't done a poll post pussygate unfortunately.

Or how about Trump is so disliked by a wide swath of the voting electorate - upwards of 60%, that nothing he does will seems presidential or likable? I think we've crossed a rubicon with the release of those tapes that large swaths of the electorate just won't give a crap about anything he says...

Steve Schmidt - "Trump came into this debate politically dead."
"And once your dead, your dead. Hillary Clinton will be the 45th president of the United States."

As goofy a Brietbart is, Clinton literally told people to go to her campaign site for fact checking.

ofc she wants to spin her own message - but it still seems strange if a, more or less, influential news outlet is shilling for one candidate in such extreme ways.
