CNN Flash Poll:

Clinton 57%
Trump 34%

Once again voters embarrass the know-it-all pundits who thought Trump won.

It seemed like it was split between people who thought she won and people who thought it was a draw.

True, but there were a few more that thought Clinton won.

That CNN poll is legitimately surprising.

I have to wonder if all us white male Atlasians and white male pundits are missing the mark here. Could Trump's interruptions, rudeness, and threats been Lazio moments?

I was pleasantly surprised to see the results, as well. Seems like the general population isn't willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt, even with low expectations. He did "better than expected," but still lost the debate. Which is about exactly how I saw it as well.

The punditry on CNN pre-poll coming out was moving to a sort of consensus that Trump won his base but not swing voters. He was playing to a Breitbart, Drudge, GOP primary audience and with them he did great. But maybe not so much with anyone else.  And they keep coming back to the threat to jail Hillary as a 'gaffe'

What I suspect is that women viewed this debate in much larger numbers than men.

CNN poll: 63% said Trump did better than expected, but just 34% said he won.

Is a CNN flash poll involving like 30 people in a room or 500 phone calls?

It's not a gaffe. He was serious. We need to stop acting like what Trump says is just entertainment or for shock value. He listens to those he associates with, so no reason to think he wouldn't prosecute Clinton on recommendation from Bannon, Giuliani and Christie.

Not as decisive of a win for Hillary as the first one, but a win nonetheless. And Trump's threat to throw her in jail if he wins should get some attention.

Remember, debate reactions in the longer-term are driven by the media spin and so far, Trump is losing it badly.

As someone on CNN mentioned, football will draw away much more men than women. So it's definitely a possibility.

Apparently the tapes dragged him into the 70s with Republicans. If he gained them back that could erode whatever bounce Hillary was going to get from the scandal, but I'm not so sure that worked. After all, it wasn't his Breitbart base that was abandoning ship.

That is the kind of numbers that = another 2-3 points for Clinton in the polls next week.

It's also not helpful that he stated Hillary has hate in her heart, that she is the devil and that she should be ashamed of herself. The optics of him standing and her sitting and him telling her that she is a "disgrace" was awful.

The polls only matter if Trump is ahead, if he's not they're biased and lying.

He pulled off what Lazio did in 2000.  A big blowhard who seemed to violate her personal space.

The same poll that thought Romney overwhelmingly won the first one?

It seems like Trump supporters are at least confident enough to come out of the shadows this time.
