^^^^^

I personally think they are horrible threads, often meant to bully those who hold different political viewpoints than the Atlas mainstream.  They might as well be renamed "do I agree with Person X's political views?"

Do you have any idea how many negative votes certain posters belonging to "Atlas political mainstream" are receiving?

It mostly serves as a passive aggressive bullying tactic by BRTD and he should probably be banned from making such threads.

Some obscure newbie posts something BRTD dislikes = BRTD makes a poll.

I used to like them but they're overused, especially with newer posters.

How am I supposed to know if some shmoe with 157 posts is a FF or HP......after several thousand posts, then we can form an opinion.

You're supposed to know based on the post that triggered BRTD to make the thread.  From there you are to agree with BRTD and vote HP.

Stop thinking Grumps.  You might blow out one of your vacuum tubes Tongue

And if you don't vote HP, you're a Pro-Assange rapist enabler.

Is there a usual order?  I suppose I should have put Freedom Thread first?

I think my issue is nonsensical #analysis really irritates me. We have multiple threads to mock it on AAD after all.

A new policy needs to be implemented on this site.

The “Opinion of [Forum Member]” threads need to end.

The overwhelming majority of those threads are motivated by their OPs feeling animosity toward a forum member—and, in order to make himself feel better, an OP wants other forum members that join him for support in publicly smearing the forum member (who is the subject of such a thread).

On many websites with discussion boards, this is not tolerated.

My guess as to why that is is because it presents a potentially hostile environment.

The fact that this still exists here speaks to poor policy.

I would implement a new policy that does not permit “Opinion of [Forum Member]” threads—and I would also lock all previously established threads of such kind (so no forum member can bump any of those threads with a new comment).
