"Right now I am petrified that Hillary is almost totally dependent on Republicans nominating Trump... she has huge endemic political weaknesses that she would be wise to rectify... even a clown like Ted Cruz would be an even money bet to beat and this scares the hell out of me..."

The mail was not sent by Podesta but Brent Budowski.

See the full context, Brent is talking about Hillary damaging herself with left-wing voters and the dem base by attacking Bernie forcing her to rely on republicans to win the general. But would Bernie have done as well with the 'outsider' narrative and 'contested convention' talk, if not for Trump? He would've been weakened and encouraged to drop out early, as Hillary would've been made to look inevitable, a weaker bernie = Stronger Hillary.

The guy is a berniebro who claims bernie is the most electable candidate of either party, still believe him?

We need to stop calling this "Podesta emails" when it's stuff that people send TO Podesta.

I could have sent an e-mail to the guy saying "of course what we don't want to get out is that HRC sees black people simply as political pawns and won't do anything to actually help them after election day" and you guys would copy and paste that and say "PODESTA EMAILS:  HRC sees black people as pawns, won't help them."

If it's not from the campaign , it's nothingburger.

I could send him an unsolicited mail saying Donald Trump is not a real person but actually three lizards in a suit. Doesn't make it the campaign stance

Exactly, and more importantly the guy is a berniebro, you're going to see republicans here saying 'I knew it', but then if you look at the context of him saying bernie was the most electable candidate (with the polls showing him to beat all the republicans), they will laugh. Can't have it both ways.

Patently false. The election would be very close if it were Clinton vs average R.

I mean, even if Podesta himself said this, who cares? Him releasing his inner pundit/inner Atlas poster is news? But it's even less noteworthy considering it's not even him who said it, as has been stated earlier in the thread. You might as well be posting a thread about the opinion of a random Youtube commenter.

Average R would've destroyed her. Even Cruz would be planning his inauguration right now.

the most annoying thing about those releases aren't the bombshells (there aren't any) but all those little human things, like taunting or cursing.....this destroys privacy in more ways than possible and some people really seem to think, they are entitled to hear about this.

wonder what gems the other campaigns have been sharing between themselves.....not only the trump campaign, even while that one would be a real killer.

Hillary was leading all the Rs in the polls easily until around the time Trump entered the race last year. The GOP wanted to reach out to his voters, so they let him stay, if they had kicked him out, they would've had the same or worse problems with their base as Hillary did with Bernie's in the first place.
