Bullying and personal attacks are against the ToS.  It's that simple.

so are bigotry and lies, and yet…

I'm not sure Classic Conservative is necessarily ban-worthy on his own merits but if every attempt to discuss how to respond to his abhorrent views is going to turn into a drawn-out fracas then the forum might well be better off with him gone.

One can always choose not to engage at all with certain posters.  I have done that from time to time. Yeah, sometimes it took some deep breathing not to lash out, and then lash out some more, but it can be done.

As someone under a proposed 18 year age limit, and someone that joined as a 13 year old, I think it's an unnecessary reaction to a specific poster.

Is it really? I think that needs to be moved up to 18 and enforced retroactively. LLR could get amnesty though.

Nah, I like the age limit where it is. This bullying definitely needs to stop though.

It's an overreaction, true, although I don't really know about this bullying you speak of, but I haven't been on/paid attention to AAD. I'm more "concerned" about posters like krazen running wild because he's pals with certain moderators anyway.

IMO the ideal forum allows no one under 18 and no one above 45.

Two wrongs don't make a right?  Obviously Classic is wrong about Istanbul, and those posts should be deleted, but that doesn't give license for others to engage in personal attacks.

How did I miss all this stuff about CC until now? I'm just going to point out that insulting a person and trying to crush them will never change their mind. No matter how good the arguments and zingers are.

They aren't even trying to change his mind, I don't think. They're too busy trying to be "edgy liberals" or whatever that they've forgotten about morality.

He's 13, he's old enough to have his BS called out. No one should be subject to cyberbullying though

Trudeau isn't part of the Left, though? In fact, he's an HP for that very reason.

Wine, like most things, is an acquired taste and super good once you're used to it.  It's actually pretty entertaining for a weekend activity to get into the different types of (red) wine.  I think white wine is gross, though.

I just like a good gin and tonic. Granted, mine aren't very good, but still, when somebody makes a good one they make a good one.

The one "cool" cocktail I've tried to like and just can't, LOL.  NOT a gin fan, but most of my buddies are big fans, and it's a very convenient "go-to," it seems.

What a waste of gin. The only way to drink gin is in a negroni or martini.

White wine is too sweet.  Red wine is just plain amazingly though.  Bougie.
