Um, Trump won because this Republican field was SO deep that they split the vote, not the other way around.  This is just like when people say that the SEC isn't great because we have teams with more losses than some from other conferences; but, we really have so many great teams that we beat up on each other (and therefore wind up with more losses).

I vehemently disagree with Non Swing Voter's economic views but I am increasingly disturbed by the reality that almost no one here is interested in engaging with him without being wrathful and verbally abusive about it.

He's a caricature of an older person, except in addition to the non-understanding of the topic, he is extremely proud of his vices. If it were simply someone trotting out the old quips about capitalism without actually applying facts, you'd have a point that perhaps this is someone worth swaying, but this is someone loud and proud about not only keeping his own but also not helping others. He is the one who destroyed the party. Beggars can't be choosers, but I'd rather not have that to satisfy those mouths when there are obviously superior alternatives for votes. There is no need to appeal to everyone.

No, I don't know what Antoine's point was.  Nor would I understand why people would vote for a candidate and party that said their number one priority was repealing Obamacare... if they didn't want Obamacare repealed.  There have also been numerous articles noting that the WWC poor are not supportive of Obamacare even if they are on it.  Anyways, I'm tired of this socialist nonsense... Another thing we should keep in mind is that CXSmith knows Classic in real life and therefore probably knows some things about the situation that we don't.

Also I don't remember people getting this outraged when omegascarlet was being bullied (and to clarify, I think that we should be outraged in both cases).

Tump can only manage to get 38-42% of the vote in most polling. He's headed for double digit loses in all these states. Clinton probably gets 56-58% in Ohio if these trends keep up.

At best for Trump, Ohio with be 54-43. That is assuming that he ties with college educated whites. He's simply not breaking out of the low 40s at this point, so I don't think Ohio will be that close.

I feel sympathetic to Trump in this case. I am extremely uneasy with putting state hospitals and the state in charge of when a baby dies. I know people are going to bring up the Terri Schiavo example and I would respond, as long as the families can finance their care, they should remain in charge of the person's life.

In this case, the baby had 1.4 million pounds raised (or was it dollars) and there is a potential experimental treatment. I would feel, for once, Trump is right here.

In any case, if the parents can afford it, why don't they exhaust their options before their child has to die?
