Nah.  I'll come home when this ticket is sent packing after a terrible defeat.

The next ticket will be just as deplorable.  Welcome to the new Republican nightmare.  Fortunately, we have a party that does represent GOP values.  They're called "Democrats."

43% of your primary voters voted for a socialist; you're on crack, friend.
This is just a fact (except the crack part, I'm assuming). Socialism is not "GOP values".

Too many people take our federal republic, democratic institutions, and our status as a free, self-governing people for granted, it seems.  We have long forgotten what it was like to be ruled by despots....

We will remember that, if Clinton wins.

Only if Hillary is elected we will sink into anarchy. If the chief executive is someone who is breaking the law how can they enforce it?

I need to up my standards for posts that belong in the bad post gallery. This is from like 5 minutes browsing the 2016 board.
No, you don't. It's just that there are a ton of bad posts in that board.

California will most likely secede with Hillary Clinton as President.

Then the rest of the USA will be permanently Republican.

A bloodbath favoring the Republicans, or a bloodbath against the Republicans?

We do have to face this reality: Progressives have the natural right to have their side in charge. Nature is progressive. To enforce a progressive agenda is Nature's way.

The problem with SJWs is the way they take up causes which are in themselves noble and worth pursuing, but wind up making themselves the focus of their causes rather than the issues themselves so that they can feel morally superior to people they deem "bigoted," including those who support the changes they claim to be rallying for but criticize the questionable tactics and demeanor of certain individuals.  And if you dare pointing that out, they either try to censor you or they associate you with the people who tried to silence civil rights activists in the 1950s.  Which is a tad ironic, if you think about it.  But, if there's one thing SJWs are good at, it's eating their own, and that's why they will never be taken seriously.

I wouldn't compare them to the alt-right, per se, but I do see many parallels between them and the folks who were part of the "Moral Majority" that dominated the culture wars in the 80s and 90s.  Back then, the fiends responsible for society's disintegration were Marilyn Manson and Ice T.  Now it's a bunch of comedians and video game programmers and people who write for TV shows.  And the quality of our entertainment media has suffered for it, if you want one person's opinion.
That is EXACTLY my beef with SJWs (first paragraph). It's the Kardashian-ization of politics - putting the focus on oneself rather than on the advocated issue. Hell, we don't even know exactly what most of them want.

I've come to realize that narcissism is the defining feature of our postindustrial societies. Examples abound - including, obviously, the President-elect.
Indeed.

Appeals to tradition, Everywhere!

Heck no , the senate is not supposed to be representative of populations it's supposed to be representives of the states

Of course not. The Senate works fine as it is. Stop complaining because your cities-only strategy is locking you out of it, Democrats.

Democrats?

Amazing how nobody has managed to present a moral argument as to why some people should be better represented than others. 23 posts and nothing aside from DavidB's political expediency comment. Simply amazing.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

-Ancient Chinese proverb

Most Federal states have a system somewhat like this.
The first post is just truth; that's really is what the Senate was built for.

NATO is the last foothold of liberal democracy in the world.

it was without merits before putin made a war-loving imperialist religious superpower out of his country, whose only goal seems to be destroying the EU.

today either you support the NATO or you think defending democracy can be done with words and contracts alone.

-NATO defends militant Islam, not democracy.

You also seem to misunderstand Russian goals badly.

-Name me a time since 1992 that it actually did something while not defending militant Islam.

If you pick Perez you will lose atleast 30% of the party. It's obvious now that Democrats are paid to be weak and lose.

His Senate seat belongs to Colleen Hanabusa, he's not a real Senator in my eyes.
I'm sure you can figure out who he's talking about pretty easily.

Floor of Obama 2012, ceiling of A sweep except for MS, AL, OK, WY, WV, AR, ID, maybe ND, UT. But he could get UT under right circumstances.

Clever as hell.

My brain hurts after reading through the last few pages. It appears NSV has disappeared himself. A shame, I probably would've enjoyed his meltdown.

And now with Eharding gone, I think...I'm the biggest spammer here???
Not by a long shot. That title belongs to BRTD.

The 2020 election will be a choice between a Putin agent and a Bashar Assad/Modi agent.

Not for his descriptions of Trump and Tulsi Gabbard but rather how certain he seems to be about Gabbard winning the nomination.
I bet she doesn't even run.

...or maybe it's possible that there might actually be relevant issues besides who the candidate endorsed in 2016. DailyKos was a pretty pro-Sanders site and they hate Tulsi as much as they hated Joe Lieberman in 2006.

Yes there will be such issues, and Tulsi will "be" on the right side of all of them, because she's the type of instinctive politician that does that sort of thing. Believe me, she is the frontrunner.

I don't support this. I would if it was Obama or Hillary doing it.
About the US military bombing of the air base in Syria yesterday. All liberal, all the time!

Seriously thinking BRTD may be a troll/Poe.

glad to see that at least the democratic base is accepting reälity

What's so illegitimate about Trump? You can say muh popular vote all you'd like, but that doesn't change the fact that presidential elections are determined by the electoral college.

ya m8 he didn't win by either measure so i don't see what your point is

i'm sorry facts trigger you (?)

Explain exactly why you think Clinton won the Electoral College

- republicans' large-scale illegal schemes to prevent people from voting (some of which were so egregious they were struck down even after the indefensible shelby co. v. holder decision) are very well documented

- i think even the farthest-right of us can agree that at least like, two or three percent of trump voters (i.e. enough to account for the official margins) are nazis, no? (obviously it's substantially more than that but y'know) anyways nazis aren't people and therefore can't vote

This one is posted especially for BRTD:

Perriello is inexperienced and Ossoff is a liar/bro type loser that faked having extensive national security experience. That ticket would never happen and if it did, they both would lose in a landslide.
We literally just elected somebody whose only experience in life involved conning ordinary people and grabbing random pussy.

Great, literally relitigating the primary.

Emails, amount of debates, and superdelegate counts all seem like weak evidence. This will probably get dismissed.

Hillary hacks whine about relitigating the primary when they forced Perez in as DNC chair because he supported Hillary and ShareBlue and the like are still attacking Bernie.

Again, Wulfric doesn't know what he's talking about. It's not as if every internal poll (especially the ones that are being released by a campaign) are always wildly off. Obama's and Trump's internal polling were probably spot on for the most part. Or think of McCaskill, Tester and Heitkamp in 2012.
Internal polls that are close to the final result are only so because the actual result happens to be friendlier to their candidate than the national independent polls project, not because of any type of superior methodology.

Internal polling is no more accurate than independent polling and is a whole lot more imprecise (biased) due to their tendency to be a few points too friendly to the candidate who hired them.

If an internal ends up close to the final result, great, but as a rule, they are not to be trusted.

A bit late but Jesus f**k

When is the appropriate time to share my feelings? I feel as if I am in limerence. I really need to get this off my conscience.
You dont, make a physical move.

I don't see the problem here. Spark said he was going to take his crush out to dinner, and I'm pretty sure Rjjr was telling him to be himself and go in for a kiss when the date ended.

What's wrong with that?

You don't make sudden physical moves on someone after a first date. Consent matters. People don't like being randomly forced into a kiss; unwanted intimate contact is really violating.

A kiss isn't "random" if you're on a date. If you both had an awesome time on your date and feel like there's chemistry there, it's perfectly reasonable to go in for a kiss without asking. Worst case scenario he/she pulls away and refuses. I mean how exactly do you envision a kiss happening on a first date?

It's not as if he/she forcefully grabs you by the back of the head and proceeds to tongue rape your face. lol
Maybe that would happen if it were Rick James.
