Wisconsin is one of the firewall states.  If Trump can swing it his way it expands his map.

With Ryan attacking Clinton today with full force, who knows?

This is being reported as an "unexpected" buy, giving the impression it's a panic move because of today's news. But that doesn't seem like the Clinton campaign. Trying to establish what else could be behind it. Any important House races in WI?

Yep, and when you easily have more money than them, why not?

Clinton definitely has a realistic chance of winning Georgia.

Just read a tweet that Clinton campaign is buying ad time in Wisconsin. Not a good sign. But I don't believe this is a snap decision, so what's behind it?

50 state strategy bro. It was Howard Dean's brilliant idea back then and it's still equally brilliant today if you ask me. Smiley If they're gonna place a ton of ads and resources in the most republican of all states, Utah, then why not spare a few handfuls of dimes for a state like Wisconsin as well?

I have seen 1 Clinton PAC ad here to every 30 Trump ads aired every day. Will be nice to sprinkle some more in.

There is a competitive race in WI-8 and seats like WI-1 and WI-7 could fall in a wave. Ads could boost turnout and make a wave more possible.

I don't know why people think WI-8 is competitive, it's the part of the state that has Trump where he is now, he's VERY popular up there.

Having popular surrogates like Bill, Joe Biden, Tim Kaine, and President Obama on her side--

you forgot the force of political nature that is michelle right now.

But the fact that Hillary needs all this means that

a) Trump is THAT good.
b) Clinton is THAT bad.
c) both Huh

Irony
D) neither

Clinton is that good, she actually has surrogates.

Perhaps to help boost Feingold by encouraging more Democracts to come out to vote?  The Senate race appears to be closer than it did earlier.

I bet their internals show them in a position better than Obama 2012.

Any word on Georgia? Or is it pretty much too far out of reach at this point?

I think they're locked in on the Obama 2012 swing states + Arizona

Well, we'll see. GA looked possible for Obama in 2008, until undecideds broke overwhelmingly for McCain. It looked like it would be decently close in 2014, even with the wave, until undecideds broke overwhelmingly for Perdue and Deal.
2014 was still better than 2010 though so there is a trend.

I wish the Clinton camp was being more aggressive in Georgia. There's so much potential there. Still, winning Arizona will be quite nice.

atlanta media market is reaaaaaally expensive and the state is not as "progressive" regarding sub-urb re-alignment like 2008 virginia and 2016 NC, i guess.

I think they see a better return on investment in AZ; it's more likely to flip than GA.

FWIW, HP's Meg Whitman was in town on Friday (primarily for business reasons; she was the keynote speaker at a CIO conference), but she also appeared at a "Republican Women for Hillary" gathering.
