A poll for Arkansas is going to be released soon.  And McMullin just got endorsed by the speaker of the house here.  Lets see if he can get above 1% and Jill Stein, which shouldn't be too hard.
Link to the endorsement? If this is true this is great news for him

Isn't the Green Party strong (relatively speaking) in Arkansas?
The last poll taken in September had Stein at .5%.  So it shouldn't be too hard to get over that.

Intrerestlng. I just looked up the GP of Arkansas. They managed to elect someone to the lower house, which is what I was thinking of. Hopefully the poll includes McMullin.

Green Party is relatively strong at local and state races, often going against somewhat right-leaning Democrats. National politics is a different dynamic.

One of Cruz's top aides votes for McMullin...

Also it is interesting to see McMullin is going to Lakewood, Colorado tomorrow. He is in Jackson Hole, WY today.

i am shocked how attractive, self-ironic and seemingly anti-sexist, anti-racist mister mcmuffin is.

where does the GOP hide such people?

They don't bother running under normal circumstances, and if they do, their handlers make them behave like reactionary fundamentalists to please The Base.

To his credit, there's no reason he couldn't have run on a Cruz or Huckabee-esque platform. Instead his stated positions are to the left of Romney, and closer to Kasich if not Huntsman.

I think that was a Democrat that switched to the Green Party halfway through a legislators' term, switching back to the Dems afterwards.

The Republican VP candidate holding an event in Utah two weeks before Election Day tells you everything you need to know about the state of the race.

I'm certainly not a Mormon.  They have a very different idea of who Jesus Christ was and is, and the differences have Eternal Consequences.

That being said, folks who are cheering McMullin and Utah's Mormons because they are taking action (out of sincerity) that coincides with Hillary's political interests, are folks who would likely make jokes about or be rude to if they came to their doors to evangelize them.  Make cracks about "sister wives" and polygamy, etc.  (Polygamy was abolished as a condition of Deseret Territory being admitted to the Union as the state of Utah.)

I admire the Mormons of Utah taking a stand on moral grounds and actually finding a way to flex muscle in a way that doesn't just blindly usher in a different evil (in their eyes), but actually causes folks to stand up and take notice.  I think it would be great for our REPUBLIC if McMullin were to carry Utah.  This may fly in the face of popular democracy, but actions like this were more of what the Founders had in mind when selecting a President.

McMullin worked for the CIA, the Republicans in Congress and Goldman Sachs. If you vote for him you are probably a terrible person. Also, wasn't it cool to make fun of Mormons a few years back? Why the Lou Dobbs hate? If he did it in 2011 and 2012 he would be celebrated.

mcmullin sounds like a center-right person in a country without a center-right national party...this alone maked him a deserving winner.

otherwise i congratulate the mormons for not being the typical partisan stereotype about preaching water and drinking wine....they really MEAN it and that i can respect.

Millions of decent people are going to vote for all of the candidates.  A handful of loonies will vote for all of the candidates.  The people of America are much better than their Presidential candidates in this election, and are doing the best they can do with what they have to work with.

McMullin represents principled conservatism which apparently has few adherents in today's America. Most so-called conservatives are overjoyed at supporting a cynical fascist instead.

To be fair, McMullin would probably be getting more support if he got any national media coverage / the average voter had any clue who he was.

Not sure if this just happened, but McMullin is now included in the NYT model, which gives him a 30% chance of winning Utah (very similar to the 538 Nowcast).

I think McMullin could get the Amish vote as well. The Amish are certainly not gonna vote for Drumpf in this election. Only problem is that I doubt McMullin is actually on the ballot in the Amish states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and so on.

Lou Dobbs is a completely unhinged Trumpist. You want to talk about horrible people, this cycle has certainly exposed him.

Good point. People like McMullin, now posing as some wise men in comparision to Trumpsters, are the one responsible for worst foreign policy blunders since Vietnam, which only proves man of "Never Trump" people are hardly any better than Trump.

To be fair, at least McMullin is condemning Trump's anti-refugee talk and racism, which I doubt many of the "leaders" involved in Vietnam would.
