We shouldn't let inactive players the privilege to vote if they're not going to play. That said, I'm willing to bring down the number of posts a player has to post.

This bill will ease activity restrictions ensuring that more players will be able to vote. This bill also ensures that votes are counted in a speedy and efficient manner, as well as ensuring that new legislation can not be passed or debated on by the outgoing house after an election concludes.

I support getting rid of the posting requirement for voting.  Since most of us are active posters, we don't really understand someone who doesn't post and automatically assume they are all inactive users that aren't paying attention to the game or the forum.  That might be true sometimes, but some people just like to read the forum without posting all the time, and I don't think it's fair to discriminate against those citizens.  I'm pretty sure I know a few people who fit that category.

I'm not sure how I feel about the other two parts of the amendment.  What if something unexpected comes up for the secretary of federal elections?

For the last part, what purpose does it serve to go into recess after the election?  All this would do is make the legislature inactive.

I propose this amendment; it brings back the post limit, but lowers it, and takes out the nonsense about the house going into recess.

I prefer no posting requirement, but I'm willing to support Mr. Enduro's amendment.  At least 8 posts is proportional with 8 weeks.  I'm concerned at how this might impact Fitzgerald though, who is a new player that seems excited about playing the game at the moment.  So I introduced an amendment to have this go into effect after the current elections, so as to not seem like we're trying to exclude him.  Also, I don't believe in last minute changes to election law.

Fine. If it's the original bill; nay. If it's Siren's amendment; aye.

Okay, by a vote of 5-0. This passes and goes to the Senate.
