Okay, so this'll be my first timeline ever, and it'll be centered around the 2016 election. Wish me luck!

Okay, kicking off in 3, 2, 1 . . .

Joe Biden Enters Presidential Race

October 21, 2015

In a live address from the White House today, Vice President Joe Biden formally entered the 2016 Presidential Election, seeking the Democratic nomination for a third time.

"It is with great pride that I announce my candidacy for President of the Unite States of America!" Said the two-term Vice President and former Senator from Delaware.

Biden's entry widens the Democratic field to six candidates again, following the withdrawal of former Senator Jim Webb just yesterday. The entry was welcomed by Secretary Hillary Clinton, the frontrunner for the nomination, and Senator Bernie Sanders, an avowed socialist, both of whom said that Biden widened the amount of experience in the campaign, which was already extensive.

Biden is expected to run on the legacy of Obama, who faces a tough challenge on whom to endorse, and will likely delay his decision until the last possible moment. Until then, Biden is likely to be Clinton's most potent challenger for the nomination, his announcement speech having vaulted him in to essentially equal second with Sanders in the polls.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump maintains his lead.

Biden 2016!

Though I have a feeling this could produce a Sanders victory, or even a brokered convention. Looking forward to more!

Thing is, my opinion is that Biden, while to the right of Bernie, is to the left of Hillary. I get the feeling that he'd take a line from both Sanders and Clinton,  and run somewhere between them.

On a side note, I am looking forward to having this TL's Donald Trump twitter-insult Biden.

Chafee Withdraws

October 23, 2015

Today, former Senator and former Governor Lincoln Chafee withdrew from the Democratic primary.

"As you know, I have been campaigning on a platform of prosperity and peace. But after much thought, I have decided to end my campaign for President today." Said Chafee, at the Democratic National Committee's Women's Leadership Forum.

Many attribute Chafee's withdrawal to the recent entry of Vice President Joe Biden into the primary, as well as his own low polling numbers.

After his announcement, Chafee was mobbed by reporters asking who he would endorse. Chafee did not offer one, but did speak very highly of Vice President Biden.

"Joe Biden is a great candidate." Said Chafee, "He's got the experience, and he has a proven ability to work across the aisle. That's been particularly important since the Republicans gained the Senate in 2014. He's balanced a Democratic Presidency and a Republican Congress effectively."

Well I promised crazy, so here's crazy.

Sarah Palin Enters Republican Primary Race

October 29, 2015

Today, former Governor of Alaska and the Republican Party's 2008 Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin announced her entry into the GOP's crowded primary field, which now consists of eighteen candidates in total.

In her announcement speech in Anchorage, Alaska, Palin cited Joe Biden's entry as the reason for her own. "Joe Biden is the ultimate Washington insider. Can you really trust him to no expand Obama's socialist policies?"

In reponse, Vice President Biden slammed the former Governor, saying "Barack's policies are common sense, not socialism." In an off guard moment, Biden was heard asking "Did she read her announcement off her hand this time?"

Palin's entry is sure to heat up the debate in the Republican primary, as it is believed that several candidates had been angling for her endorsement ahead of the Iowa caucuses in February next year.

This is good so far, I know it's your decision, but It would be intresting to see Former V.P. Dick Cheney drop into this race.
