Nothing Christian in their motivations. This was just plain old nationalist/racist terrorism.

You misrepresent Christianity. The entire history of this most violent of religions is the history of terrorist crusader attacks, like this one. Given the history, governments should be doing careful undercover surveillance in all churches. And extreme vetting of Christians is essential if we are to avoid terrorist attacks.

Given the history of humanity in general, we should probably doing this in regards to most, if not all, available demographics; it's hard to understand some people's--some go by the moniker "libertarian"--opposition to extensive data collection in the name of collective security.
wtf dude?  I'm pretty sure ag was making a joke to make a point not actually suggesting we should do this.....for several reasons.
A.it's impossible....some people do "church" out of their home, you going to do "extensive data collection" on them too?
2.the cost would be in the trillions...yearly
III.that whole "Constitution" thing we keep hearing about
d.the pointlessness of the exercise.  I'd guess 99.4% of the time you'll find nothing.

or perhaps you're joking too and it was just harder to read?

These guys literally called themselves Crusaders. Perhaps they're not specifically Christian terrorists (Kony and the Lord's Resistance Army would qualify, though), but they're Christian-themed xenophobic/racist terrorists. There needs to be a better qualifier than just "terrorists".

Anti-immigrant terrorists would probably be the right term.

I am no libertarian, but you scare me. Honestly, you do. You are more dangerous than any terrorist.

I assure you, my intentions are perfectly benign. Smiley

Eff if I know. I'm not a psychologist. My general creed in regards to this is that most things are fair game after we've crossed a certain threshold. If we're going to monitor all Christians for fear of terrorist attacks (and I don't care if whatshisface is being sarcastic; he probably knows his intentions, but I don't; he's shown serious instability over the past few months, so sincerity isn't really a big deal), why not just go full throttle? If we're on ag's level and talking about the need to, whatever, do away with waves of deplorables (regardless of whether we should or shouldn't; and no, I don't care enough to cite exact quotes, but he's said things of a similar spirit) obviously the facially or "morally" absurd is well behind us (again, it doesn't really matter if it's sarcastic or not) and we're in uncharted territory. Best to have fun with it!

I have no reasons whatsoever to trust you. And I will not. You are dangerous.

And this is no joke.

How what? I am not planning to do anything about you: it is my job. I simply do not trust you.

Like, how am I untrustworthy? And dangerous? I've always been regarded as a loyal and responsible person by my peers.

Okay.

It was meant as a joke. Sorry if it sounded serious.
