I've been watching Republicans on the talk show circuit play this game as well.  Complain about the liberal media and then say "so yeah the election is rigged" as though that's what Trump's talking about.

Two problems with this, obviously, are that first of all even if the media was biased towards Clinton "rigged" would be an outlandish and dangerous mischaracterization that nobody should get behind, and second, just like the liberals with Colin Kaepernick, they're putting their own words in his mouth so they can agree with him when what he's actually saying is totally different and utterly ludicrous.

1) It's quite possible that Trump doesn't actually know what the word "rigged" means in this context
2) Trump cares much more about preserving his ego than he does about the Republican House and Senate majorities, or even his own campaign.

   This rigged election talk that one hears from Republicans every so often is missing the forest for the trees.  The big overall issue for conservatives in general isn't the phantom spectre of double voting, dead people voting etc etc, but rather the gradual changing of the American electorate through immigration, which is gradually leading to a larger and larger share of left of center voters. I believe there was quite a respectable book written about this called the Emerging Democratic Majority.  All this talking about rigged elections is merely a distraction and a lashing out against the inexorable march to victory of this new majority.  The Democrats really need to pay more homage to LBJ, the man who set this all in motion with the 1965 immigration reform act.
