This is likely about advertisement spending, so it is definitionally poorly spent.

You have to wonder why Republicans are spending more money on New Hampshire, a tiny state, than North Carolina or Pennsylvania. I really think they'll get caught flat-footed in both states.

But I thought Democrats are the ones who always get outspent...

Lame strawman. In 2014 Democrats were obviously outspent if you include dark money. This is also about advertisements, not total spending.

Ads aren't everything, but they're a necessary component to a good campaign.

If you are a DC consultant, sure.
Ads have their place (raising name rec, and absolutely last minute negative blitzes) but the data shows that they're the least efficient way to affect your portion of the vote.

Well, not least efficient. Lawn signs are the absolutely least efficient.

Guys,
Let's dispel with this question that money is what matters the most.
Party govt organization is power.

They cost next to nothing to make and you can "sell" them for $5-10 donations. They're not really advertising so much as a revenue generator.

Wrong. He got billions of dollars worth of free airtime from the media.

Anyway, the gap in PA is quite interesting, especially when compared to NV...

Heck is prob getting some help from GOP donors like Adelson, which could explain the surprising  levels of equality of spending there.

Part of it is that most of the media markets that cover New Hampshire are crazy expensive,  especially compared to North Carolina.

And New Hampshire is not some evenly balanced pure toss-up state. It is trending D, though Ayotte has somehow tricked gullible White male ex-Rockefeller Republicans that she is of the Warren Rudman/Charlie Bass type, and not someone who agrees with Ted Cruz on almost every issue.
