I live in Detroit. The only candy-distribution I engage in is during a practically-mandatory community service event that campus organizations host for children to trick-or-treat in a safe environment on campus. I doubt I'll see many Trump costumes on the 28th.
You must be one of the only Republicans living in the city proper!

The pic is funny and cute, the negative remarks are hateful.  But, that's to be expected from coddled a-holes with no jobs.

Of course I'd grab them and say, "listen here, you little pussy..."

...or is that their line?

Surely such people are more likely to be anti-Trump than pro-Trump, so yes.

Shame we never have elections days before Halloween; Thatcher, Brown, Blair, Farage and Michael "something of the night" Howard would have made popular choices for masks.

That someone would post that about a child is awful beyond words.

I would give them candy that claims to be incredibly delicious on the wrapper, but when they open it up--nothing!  (or like a packing peanut to make the gag work).

Of course, considering I am thinking of going as Trump myself (probably won't though, but I do have the MAGA hat). What costume could be scarier? If I do go as Trump, I would hope that my partner would go as Clinton.

Of course, if I do go as Trump, I'd be worried about my child's welfare when we go trick or treating....

Seeing as I was enough of a nerd to go as Zombie Ed Miliband last year I'm considering doing Trump (I've got the hat)

I agree.

That's a sad commentary about folks who do the most whining about "tolerance", is it not?

Seeing as I live in one of the most liberal places on Earth, I'd assume it was a joke/mockery, so yes

Agreed. Apart from being sickening on its own, of course, "I'm going to kick your son in the ribs" is exactly the kind of rhetoric that Trump and his campaign have been promoting, and we need to let them know that this is not OK, not co-opt it for ourselves.

Obviously yes, and the same amount of candy.

Anyone who would take out their dislike of Trump on a child is seriously disturbed and needs counselling.

It would depend if the costume used insensitive cultural appropriation or not warranting a strong lecture first.

I'd give them a bowlful of Skittles, but tell them a few might be poisoned.  Plenty of Tic Tacs, as well.

At least half of Trump costumes will be intended as satire, the other half will be due to the parents making the kids do it.

What could possibly be more frightening on Halloween than the specter of Donald Trump?  He should be featured in a haunted house where small hands come out of the walls and try to grab you as you walk by.

I wish I could go to a costume party in a satirical Hitler costume, but needless to say people wouldn't get it.
